In the research project “Global Metro Monitor” conducted by The Brookings Institute, which is consistently ranked as the most influential, most quoted and most trusted think tank, the profiles of 150 metropolitan areas that influenced the global economy the most werecompiled. Istanbul ranked first on the list. According to the report,Istanbul ranked first, leaving big metropolis cities known to be the centers of the global economy such as New York, London and Tokyo behind, with its rapidly developing economy, and improving employment opportunities. |
