The structure of cones, organs on conifers that contain the plant"s ovaries, has remained the same for millions of years, as with the structures of all other living species. This cone, 65 to 54 million years old, and identical ones of our day are one of the important examples revealing that throughout these long ages, evolution has never occurred.
