The PRETAS aims to increase economic relations and trade among Islamic countries, which collectively have a population of 1.5 billion people. This system is designed to foster greater economic cooperation and integration within the Islamic world.
Ten Islamic countries have agreed to the Preferential Trade System. Turkey is among the eight countries that had already approved the system, and Bahrain and Bangladesh have also decided to participate.
The abolition of visa requirements is advocated to allow people to move freely, do business, and establish contacts without restrictions, similar to the European Union model. This freedom is seen as crucial for fostering greater unity and economic collaboration among Turkic and Islamic nations, which share common faith, language, and culture.
Turkic and Islamic countries possess the finest outlooks, lands, and the world's richest mineral resources. These abundant resources provide a strong foundation for economic prosperity and collaboration, enabling them to achieve greater unity and shared development.
The European Union model, where people can freely travel, settle, and do business without passports or visas, is presented as an example for the Turkish-Islamic Union. It illustrates the benefits of unrestricted movement and economic integration that could be achieved among Turkic and Islamic countries.
