Adnan Oktar: FOR ONE THING THE SOUTHEAST IS MADE UP OF VERY DEVOUT, POLITE AND RATIONAL PEOPLE. THEY SET THE PKK UP IN ORDER TO LEAD THE KURDISH PEOPLE AWAY FROM THEIR RELIGION AND SPIRITUAL MATTERS AND TRIED TO CONVINCE THEM OF THIS STRANGE IDEA OF USING FORCE AND VIOLENCE. THEY LITERALLY IMPOSED IT ON THEM. BUT THE KURDS ARE A HEROIC PEOPLE. THEY WILL NEVER GIVE WAY TO FEAR AND INTIMIDATION.  Thanks be to God. They held out, and are still holding out despite the most enormous pressure. They are determined to maintain their religion despite huge pressure from foreign countries, thanks be to God.

Adnan Oktar: We will never give the Southeast up. We will never place our brothers in the hands of the communists. The people of the Southeast are devout, modest and spotlessly clean. They would be ruined if they fell into the hands of Marxist, Leninist, Stalinist communists, may God forbid. We will never, ever permit such a thing. But it would be very wrong to emerge defeated from this border war; you must be determined and always say, “No. Get lost! We will not allow it.” That is what needs to be said.

BDP deputy Altan Tan said that both the BDP and the PKK needed to be completely renewed ideologically. Noting that 78% of the BDP grassroots were conservative Kurds who wore the headscarf he went on, “If you try to assemble a harsh Marxist, socialist structure on this bedrock, you will soon enter into conflict with the people.”
