The War Initiated by the United States’ Attack on Iran Is a Religious War

The events that began on February 28, 2026, with the attack on Iran by the United States and Israel, and subsequently developed as the war spread to Arab countries in the region, although interpreted differently by many people, clearly point to an event that will take place in the End Times.

As stated in detail in previous announcements, these attacks are, according to hadiths, among the major signs that will occur before the emergence of the Mahdi. The characteristics of the war reported in the hadiths are as follows:

The war will target the Iran region,

It will take place between Western countries and Iran,

The war will begin in the month of Ramadan,

It will spread to almost the entire Middle East, and its effects will be seen across a wide region,

It will reach its most intense phase with the lunar eclipse that will occur on the 13th night of Ramadan,

This war, like others, will only come to an end with the emergence of the Mahdi.

The Black Banners Emerging from Khorasan and War in the Month of Ramadan

Muhammad al-Baqir (peace be upon him) is reported to have said: 

“Once Amirul Mo'mineen (as) was asked about (the meaning of) this Qur’anic verse, ‘The sects among them disagreed.’
He said: ‘EXPECT DELIVERANCE [OF THE MAHDI] WHEN THREE SIGNS APPEAR.’
He was asked: ‘What are they?’
He said: ‘Disagreement among the people of Sham, THE BLACK BANNERS COMING FROM KHURASAN AND TERROR IN THE MONTH OF RAMADAN.’”
(Ghaybat al-Nu‘mani, Chapter 14, Hadith No. 8)

The raising of the black banners emphasized in the hadith and the onset of terror—that is, WAR—in the month of Ramadan have occurred exactly as described. Black banners have been raised in Iran.

Major Events Accompanied by a Lunar Eclipse on the 13th Night of Ramadan

The great Islamic scholar Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi drew attention to the occurrence of major events that would instill fear and awaken people from their sleep during a period when a lunar eclipse takes place on the 13th night of Ramadan. In his description, his statement that “lightning and thunder will increase in the sky” refers to missiles that move across the sky with loud, thunder-like sounds and produce flashes of light like lightning with their explosions. Another notable point is the “disorder in the West.”

“IF THE MOON IS ECLIPSED ON THE 13TH NIGHT OF RAMADAN, IT IS A SIGN THAT DISORDER WILL ARISE IN THE WEST, THAT LIGHTNING AND THUNDER IN THE SKY WILL INCREASE, that people will awaken from their sleep in fear, and that some people will faint.”

Exactly as described:

ON THE NIGHT OF MARCH 3, 2026, A BLOOD MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE OCCURRED. This date corresponds to the 13TH DAY OF RAMADAN.

The Beginning of War in Iran and the Involvement of Arab Countries

It has been reported in the hadiths that a war will begin in Persia, that is, Iran, and that Arab countries will also become involved in this war:

“A NATION/TRIBE WILL COME FROM THE FARSI (IRAN) DIRECTION, saying: ‘You Arabs! You have been too zealous! If you don't give them their due rights, nobody will have an alliance with you... It must be given to them one day and to you the following day, and mutual promises must be kept...’ They will be going up Mutekh; Muslims will be coming down to the plain... Mushrikun (idolaters) will be standing over there on the bank of a black river (Rakabeh) on the other side... THERE WILL BE A WAR BETWEEN THEM. God will deprive both armies of a victory...”
(Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rasul Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah li-ashrat al-sa'ah, p. 179)

As described in the hadith, there will be a dispute between Persia—that is, the Iran region—and Arab countries. This dispute will turn into war. As is known, there has been a long-standing disagreement between Iran and the majority of Arab countries, particularly Saudi Arabia. Following the attack on Iran by the United States and Israel, Iran has targeted numerous Arab countries with missiles and drones. Among these countries are the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, and Iraq.

The Fire That Will Emerge from the Hejaz Region

In a hadith, a fire that will emerge from the Hejaz region in the End Times is mentioned. Here, what is meant by “FIRE” is “WAR”:

“God's Messenger (pbuh) said, ‘The Hour will not be established TILL A FIRE WILL COME OUT OF THE LAND OF HIJAZ, and it will THROW LIGHT ON THE NECKS OF THE CAMELS AT BUSRA.’" (Sahih al-Bukhari 7118, Book 92, Hadith 65)

This extensive war encompassing Arab countries is expressed in the hadith through the analogy of “fire.” This event, which will take place in the End Times just before the emergence of the Mahdi, is currently taking place.

The Fire That Will Emerge in the Gulf of Aden

In another hadith, there is a reference to the Gulf of Aden in the Arabian Peninsula. It is stated that the fire, that is, the war, will be seen in those regions:

“God’s Messenger (pbuh) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: ‘It [Last Hour] will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the
Smoke,
Dajjal,
The Beast (Dabbat al-Ard),
The rising of the Sun from the West,
The descent of Jesus son of Mary (may God be pleased with him),
The Gog and Magog,
Land-slides in three places, one in the East,
One in the West and
One in Arabia
At the end of which FIRE WOULD BURN FORTH FROM THE YEMEN, AND WOULD DRIVE PEOPLE TO THE PLACE OF THEIR ASSEMBLY.’”

The War Reaching Khorasan and the Lands of Persia

In the hadith, a war that will occur in the regions of Khorasan and Persia is reported, and what is happening today is almost described exactly:

Sufyan sends his army from the lands of KHORASAN AND PERSIA AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF THE EAST. HE FIGHTS THE PEOPLE OF THE EAST REPEATEDLY. While these wars continue…”
(Al-Muttaqi, The Signs of the Mahdi of the End Times – Hadiths Classified by Suyuti, Hadith No: 4:55)

“The army of Sufyan reaches KHORASAN, THE LAND OF PERSIA, AND THEN THE PEOPLE OF THE EAST. The people of the East oppose them and FIGHT THEM REPEATEDLY.”
(Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi ‘Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, Hadith No: 20)

The situation indicated by the hadiths is clear. The “eastern” centered war, currently taking place with Iran at its center and encompassing nearly the entire Middle East, is unfolding exactly as described in the hadiths. The fact that these events—described as one of the most important signs of the End Times—are occurring today in the very manner described constitutes a great and undeniable miracle.
 

Confessions That a “Religious War” Is Taking Place

The war currently taking place in the Middle East, originating from Israel and the United States, is a war that a group of Jews and Christians have SPECIFICALLY TRIGGERED for the coming of the MESSIAH/MOSHIACH that they expect in the End Times.

The great war that some Jews expect, based on interpretations and quotations from certain passages of the Torah, is the apocalyptic war referred to in religious texts as Armageddon. It is believed that this war will take place in the lands of Israel at the end of the world, that the ultimate victory will belong to the Jewish people, and that the awaited Moshiach will emerge.

This expectation also exists in Christianity.

According to the belief of some Christians, the expected great war—namely Armageddon—is mentioned in the Book of Revelation of the Bible. This war, according to these Christians, represents the FINAL STRUGGLE that will take place in the last days of the world between the supporters of God and the armies of the Antichrist. This war, which will end with the victory of Jesus Messiah, is seen as the beginning of a new era.

However, the description of this war here is a serious misconception. These explanations, based on altered sections of the Torah and the Bible, are in fact refuted by their own passages that have remained unchanged. These explanations, which are consistent with the hadiths, describe the hardship and severity of the End Times and give glad tidings of the coming of the expected Mahdi (Moshiach) after all these difficulties. The coming of the Mahdi, contrary to the beliefs of current advocates of war, WILL BRING PEACE AND JUSTICE TO THE EARTH, AND THE WORLD WILL ATTAIN A STATE OF PEACE NEVER SEEN BEFORE.

At present, both Israel—a religious state—and the United States under the leadership of Trump, supported by Evangelicals, HAVE INITIATED THIS RELIGIOUS WAR, WHICH THEY BELIEVE MUST OCCUR, by following the mistaken belief described above. The reason for this is that they see that the world has now entered its final period, they recognize that all the signs mentioned in the Torah and the Bible point to the END TIMES, and that CHRISTIANS ARE AWAITING JESUS MESSIAH AND JEWS ARE AWAITING THE MOSHIACH (MAHDI)—but through an incorrect method. According to this mistaken path, they believe that they must trigger this war in order to bring about this emergence.

It is a known fact that Iran has long been in expectation of the Mahdi. Iran is a country that believes the emergence of the Mahdi is near in this End Time and awaits it with enthusiasm and determination. However, some Christians and Jews are currently unable to comprehend that they are essentially awaiting the same savior. Therefore, some Christians and Jews who cannot properly understand Iran’s expectations have taken action, and a religious war—one that is not present in any Holy Scripture—has begun, driven by those seeking their own victory.

This is precisely the main reason for the war that has now engulfed the Middle East.

Statements made by various officials regarding this issue are noteworthy. Some of these are as follows:

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio:

Alexander Dugin:

Russian political scientist and strategist Alexander Dugin, known as the “mentor” of Putin, frequently emphasizes through social media that a religious war is taking place:

“Zuhur is near. Stay strong. Every Expected One will reappear soon. On both sides.”

“There is no doubt we are entering the final phase of the historic cycle. The finalization of history.

Greater Israel as the project and the reality is pure End Time phenomenon (like modern Israel itself). The same goes for Iranian (shia) moment in history – Last Fight.”

Benjamin Netanyahu:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described Iran as “Amalek.” In a speech regarding the attacks on Iran, he stated:

“We read in this week’s Torah portion, ‘Remember what Amalek did to you.’ We remember and we act,’ says Israeli PM.”

Since “Amalek” is an enemy figure in the Torah, this characterization is considered one of the clearest examples of the war carrying a religious meaning. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has described this terminology as “holy war language.”

In reality, however, Iran is awaiting the Mahdi, who is also expected by Jews and who will bring peace and justice to the world. Netanyahu’s comparison of Iran to a religious foe constitutes a serious misconception. Indeed, the entire war is being carried out based on this misunderstanding.

Mike Huckabee:

U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee stated that Israel has a Biblical right over much of the Middle East. In an interview with The Guardian, when reminded that the Bible promises land “from Egypt to the Euphrates” to the descendants of Abraham, Huckabee replied: “It would be fine if they took it all.”
