The Economist Intelligence Unit, a research and advisory company providing country, industry and management analysis worldwide, has made an evaluation on the latest economic situation of Turkey. The company reports that Turkey, a country with a population of more than 70 million, is the sixth nation which has, as of the year 2010, a per capita income of at least10 thousand US dollars per annum . The other five countries on the list are the US, Japan, Germany, Russia and Brazil. “The Turkish economy is as tough as nails”, said Turkey’s Economy Minister Mr Zafer Caglayan. “Today, Turkey is a country that has maintained a level of political and economical stability that is envied across the world.” He further added, “Within a period of nine years, and by means of important works accomplished by the government under the leadership of our Prime Minister, today Turkey has attained an economic structure as strong as a fortress.” |
