No matter how attractive a person is, if God does not bestow love upon that person, they could not be loved. God is the One Who creates that attractiveness, and He is the One Who makes it loved.

People will resist against all Mahdis. That is a sign of his being the Mahdi. Our Prophet (saas) says that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will strive for 40 years. If the Mahdi were to make progress easily, why would he need to be striving for 40 years? He would have results in less than 40 days. But that is not the case.
