A Muslim prays to Allah that He makes him a leader to those who have piety. There is a verse about it. That is to say, EVERY MAN AND WOMAN NEEDS TO PRAY TO ALLAH TO BE THE MAHDI.

There are so many scholars who have tremendous knowledge but have no faith. In the absence of faith, Allah compares them in the Qur’an to “donkeys loaded with books”. But the fact is however those people could be Mahdis with so much knowledge; but when they have no faith, they become paralyzed.
