Mourning is a custom of idolatry, a custom that was in practice in ancient Sumeria, Mesopotamia, the Hittites, in ancient Greek, in ancient Egypt. In numerous hadiths, our prophet (saas) has prohibited mourning. It is against the Qur'an. It is rebellion –may God forbid- to the blessings of God. It is not an act that befits Muslims; the meaning behind it is atrocious. There is no mourning in Islam.

The good deeds that will be attained is important, attaining the good pleasure of God is important. If you attain the good pleasure of God, He would give you riches. If you do not act in a way to attain His good pleasure and are stingy instead, God would take away everything you have and you would lose all your goods and possessions.

Now, what should be done in Cizre? We should make the homes of our brave people, our Kurdish brothers, our radiant brothers even beautiful than before. If they have lost their possessions and goods, we should compensate them many times over. If they do not have food to eat or for instance if they have lost their 10 kg of rice, we should take 100 kg of rice in a sack and give it to them. That would bring about plenty.
