Modern gibi görünen koyu tutucu olan bir kesim var. Bunlar buz gibi soğuk bir din anlayışına sahiptir ve ruhlarında sanat, sevgi yoktur. Bunların güler yüzlü olduklarını, neşeli yaşadıklarını görmezsiniz. Halktan kendilerini yüksek görürler, kibirli ve ukaladırlar. Bu tipler görünürde gelenekçi ortodoks sistemi eleştirirler ama yaşadıkları hayatın soğukluğu, sevgisizliği, enaniyeti aynı şekilde dinden uzaktır. Bunların hayat felsefesi insanların neşesini boğan, hayatın güzelliklerini ellerinden alan, sözde aristokrat ama buz gibi soğuktur.
