Threats are blessings in disguise. If Islam is preached in a threatening environment, it would be a religious service. If one says, “Let me only perform my prayers and avoid threats,” his deeds will decrease considerably. But a Muslim would want to collect as many good deeds as he could. Why would one agree to attain one deed when it is possible to attain a million times more?

What are the components of preaching religion? Pain, difficulties and threats… If these increase, the value of the preaching would increase as well, and you would attain the good pleasure of God even more. If your goal is to attain the good pleasure and the mercy of God, you would lovingly endure those. Living such a cowardly, timid life in this transient world is vey humiliating.

Being subjected to threats is the sunnah of the Prophets. God is the One Who creates these threats.

One goes through a very staggering trial. People should not expect such an easy trial and they should not be surprised to see that it is not easy. Otherwise, it would not be a trial anyway. The man wants to live a life with the mindset of a retired person and then die that way; that is not going to happen. Muslims go through a staggering trial if they have genuine faith.

We will all go to Hereafter. There will be no one who wouldn’t. Almighty God puts us through an important trial, an important test. Without this education we cannot be normal people.

Those who strive on the path of God become beautiful. Those who face difficulties on the path of God become beautiful. Those who do not face any difficulties become ugly, their meaning would be lost, they would become dull and blunt. I mean they would become coarse.

One says, “I have lived a very happy life, I have never faced any troubles all my life.” That is not a gain. First of all he won’t go to Heaven. In the Qur’an God says; “Or did you suppose that you would enter the Garden without facing the same as those who came before you?” (Surat Al-Baqara, 214) A Muslim should strive on the path of God, face difficulties and make an effort against unbelief, against the hypocrites.

A Muslim is the one who lives by the religion of God even in hardship. Almighty God says; “ For truly with hardship comes ease; truly with hardship comes ease.” (Surat Al-Inshirah, 5-6) A Muslim would surely face such difficulties.

It is difficult to give a struggle against hypocrites. It is difficult to give a struggle against unbelief. It is not easy to serve Islam for God. Of course one would face hardship; that hardship beautifies Muslims. The difficulties he faced is the reason why our Prophet (saas) was so beautiful.

A Muslim should definitely live suffering through ordeals and hardships. For instance one writes books and makes research for God while the other goes around having fun. But Muslims suffer through hardships. Then you look and see that he is very radiant and has become so beautiful. The other one says, “I am living my life in leisure,” but you see that he has become dull and blunt and has lost his meaning. Such a person cannot have fun. He imagines that he is having fun but he cannot.

A person who suffers through ordeals and who experiences hardships will become beautiful. He becomes even more beautiful as time passes and he becomes even younger. If the unbelievers live through the same things, they would collapse. But Muslims become even younger and even more beautiful with hardships. These have the exact opposite impact.

Some say, “Why do we suffer through ordeals in this world? Why do we feel pain?” That is because you are educated through those pains. You become a person, you become a real human being. Otherwise, if you do not suffer through any ordeals, you would simply be dull. Man is educated through ordeals.

People should keep their grandparents at home with them. That would bring richness to their homes. Placing them in nursing homes would bring about direness. You can provide the same conditions at home as well. You can reserve a room of your house to them and that would bring about auspiciousness to your home. The hardships and sufferings experienced there will bring about goodness.

It is of course difficult to take care of seniors, but the good deeds attained by doing that is plenty. God makes it difficult so that the deeds attained there will be plenty. Such good deeds should not be missed.

Muslims become handsome with faith, they become beautiful with trial. If that trial is taken away, Muslims would be devastated, may God forbid. I mean if one does not come across any difficulties, that means they acquire no good merits. We came to this world to be tested; that is why Almighty God says, "Or did you suppose that you would enter the Garden without facing the same as those who came before you?"

After the appearance of the Mahdi (pbuh) and the establishment of the Islamic Union, the impact of the good deeds one collects would drop from one million to three. That is because the rest will be very easy. All hardships will thus be removed. The antichrist (dajjal) will then be dead. The attacks of one’s lower-self would be removed as well, so everything will be fine.

When they are made fun of during their preaching they say, "I am demoralized." They have no idea about destiny, they have no idea about the Qur'an. Thank God for seeing such a miracle. Be amazed; your good deeds are increasing while their sins are increasing. What is your goal? Is it not to attain good deeds? You then say that you are sad. Why should one be sad because his good deeds have increased?

When Islam prevails, one who attains a million good deeds would only attain one good deed. Someone who previously attained a million good deeds with an act, with a behavior, would only attain –let us say- five good deeds with that act when Islam prevails in the whole world. After that, because no meaning is left in life and because the trial has come to an end, the Last Day comes swiftly. The passing away of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and the prophet Jesus Messiah (pbuh) and then the Last Day will come rapidly, insha'Allah.

The longer one remains in this world, the more one might have the means to improve in the spiritual sense. After one passes away, after one goes to Heaven, there would be no need for courage, loyalty and everything else. They only eat and drink and have fun, praise God and become like the angels. That is why being in this world for a long time is rewarding as well; that is because when you remain in this world, you acquire millions of good deeds.

The more hardships suffered, the more the good deeds acquired would be. The difficulties Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) encounters are countless. Every single hardship encountered is a step ahead. For instance, think about a 1,000 kilometer-long ladder, 1,000 kilometers of ascending steps; one climbs up incessantly and the spiritual ranks he attains elevate incessantly.

One would ask for a long life to serve Islam. Without that service for Islam, life could turn into trouble for one. One might have a long life but end up in the depths of Hell as a result. An auspicious, long life is important. If that auspiciousness, those good deeds are lost, if one does not serve on the path of God, a long life would do him no good. A long life is important only to serve Islam.

The existence of atheists, all their writings, their speeches mocking religion are there to increase the good deeds Muslims attain. As one continues in his faith despite all these, that makes him more valuable.

There is immense opposition against religion in newspapers, on the radio, in the streets, among families, in many different spheres. A Muslim preserving his faith despite all that would be attaining a lot of good deeds.

God would not give relief to those who are not on His path. If one says, “I would preach religion but I have to be very comfortable,” he would not be wanting to preach. Preaching religion is the name of the religious service performed when one is not comfortable.

Because of the PKK many people are unable to function in the Southeast. Muslims are all leery of them but if they carry out their activities, even under threat, they would attain a lot of good deeds.
