The verse in the Qur’an, “your religion is yours and my religion is mine” is the most perfect description of democracy and secularism.

Muslims are immaculately clean in Ramadan, and pay particular attention to their dental hygiene.

Unhealthy people should never fast by compromising their health. That would be a sin. God tells us that unhealthy people should not fast.

Fasting brings people humility. People become more open to love and compassion.

Secularism is best explained in Islam and the Qur’an. The commandment in the Qur’an that reads “your religion is yours and my religion is mine” is the best application of secularism.

I believe in the sufficiency of the Qur’an as a guide and I live my life according to the Qur’an.

There is a horrible and completely unfounded belief in the bigoted mindset that says whoever abandons religion should be killed. In the Qur’an however, there is no compulsion and everyone is free to believe or not to believe.

According to the Qur'an, there can be no compulsion in religion. One cannot force anyone to be a Muslim, but he can only advise. Pressuring people would only produce hypocrites.

Buddhism is a corrupt version of true religion. Acts of worship like prayer, fasting and giving alms exist in Buddhism, though in a changed form.

Fasting in Ramadan helps people realize their weakness, calms excessive feelings inside and helps thinking about God deeply as a lenient person.

God says, “There is no compulsion in religion.” This provision outlaws all kinds of impositions. A Muslim enjoins the good and then leaves the person to his own conscience.

Talking about hunger, thirst, etc., while fasting would not befit the spirit of that act of worship. Such an attitude does not suit the dignity of a Muslim.

Those who love God deeply will approach the servants of God with compassion. Such people have a good grasp of the spirit of the Qur’an and know that they should not interfere with those who do not perform their acts of worship.

Muslims give advice to others regarding what is unlawful by religion, but do not interfere in anyone’s way of living.

"There is no compulsion in religion." People cannot be forced to live religion. It is illegal to force religion according to the Qur'an.

According to the Qur'an, those who abandon religion, become atheists, drink alcohol, abandon prayer, shave their beard and so on are not killed. There is no pressure on anyone when it comes to religion.

Bigotry hurts young people a lot. There is no compulsion in Islam. In Islam people can be free without anyone interfering with the way they live.

Forcing people to accept Islam does not spread faith but instead spreads hypocrisy. The Qur’an is very clear: There is no compulsion in religion.

Both performing prayers and fasting is the expression of the lover to his Love.

The percentage of people fasting in Turkey used to be 15% in 1970s, now it is 82%. Back in those days Darwinism held sway in Turkey. Now modern religiousness based on the morality of the Qur'an is embraced predominantly by our people.

The things demanded by the Qur'an are only a few: Performing prayers is explained very briefly in the Qur'an, fasting is explained very briefly and giving alms is explained very briefly. God commands us to be merciful, compassionate, to avoid telling lies, to be true. He commands us to have good intentions and to love one another, to love God a lot; to be of help to one another and to avoid worldly ambitions for goods because everything belongs to God. The commands in the Qur'an are very few. The rest is all about the foulness of the unbelievers, the impertinent behavior of the unbelievers, of the people of heresy and the responses given to them.

There is no compulsion in religion. No one can be forced to perform prayers, fast and give alms. Those can only be done most sincerely and willingly.

It is our duty to help and take care of each of our disabled brothers and sisters. They are our responsibility.

In the Qur’an, God reveals "Man is indeed wrongdoing, ungrateful.” Most people are ungrateful. They don’t thank God for His protection and might.

Arab, Turkmen or Kurd, it doesn't matter. Whoever comes from Syria as refugees, they are more than welcome. Turkey will lovingly host them all.
