Our martyrs who made their bodies shields before the coup plotters are lambs in Heaven. All of them are lions and so courageous.

Soldiers were dispatched from their quarters on pretext of military exercise. They would have not obeyed orders if they were aware this was an attempt at a coup.

Such barbarity is unprecedented in Turkish history. Raking people with gunfire from the air, driving over them with tanks is hideously ill-suited.

Soldiers would never be part of a military coup, they are pure Anatolian children. They should not obey orders to attack our people.

Our soldiers are reasonable, and they would never take sides with coup plotters. The military respects the votes of our people.

One may oppose the government, but attempting to overthrow a government with a coup is not acceptable. Struggle is only with democracy.

Our President is doing what is right by seeking refuge in his nation and asking them to protect their homeland, their state and nation. The most effective solution against the coup is the reaction of the people.

A joint stance of all parties against the attempted coup at town squares would be pleasing. It is nice to show that all circles of our nation are against the coup.

It would be nice for leaders from all political parties to come together including the public and hold massive legal demonstrations against the coup.

Coups have always paralyzed Turkey and dragged us backwards. Coups never bring any solution; on the contrary it just makes problems grow.

Being against the coup doesn't mean supporting a political party. As the people, we must emphasize that we're against the coup and united as one.

Today, all political parties have to be in alliance. The plotters of the coup are only a handful before the 82 million-strong Turkish people.

The right and left wing that are against the coup and violence in Turkey should come together in unity and act in alliance.

A coup is an action that abolishes respect for humanity. One who advocates coups cannot advocate Islam. Democracy exists in Islam.

The idea of a coup is based on intimidation. Our nation's bravery and fearless nature completely neutralised the attempted coup.

A coup is an insult to people that amounts to saying, ‘You can’t think properly, I’ll think for you.’

Existence of cold, cruel, ruthless people lays the ground for coup plotters. A coup plotter would like to shed blood; this is great peril.

The way to gridlock coups is modernism, high-quailty, arts and all kinds of freedom.

It is important not to disseminate exaggerated news at times like this; everyone should avoid spreading fake news that would cause panic.

Everyone should stand for legality. Our soldiers are sensible people, they can tell right from wrong. Our Chief of Staff is a very decent man.

May God protect both our soldiers and our police from harm’s way. This sedition must end quickly.

May God end the disorder, make things calm down. May God allow order to return. May things get back to normal.

The priority should be eliminating sedition; things will calm down by the will of God. Compassion will prevail.

May God protect our country from unrest, problems and sedition. God says sedition is worse than murder.

Without statements by the Chief of Staff confirming a military coup, these claims will not be valid. Our soldiers are very sensible.
