The Assembly of Sheikhs (Meclis-i Meşayih) founded in Sultan Abdulaziz's time in order to support religious groups was used to oppress Muslims in Sultan Abdul Hamid II’s era.

During Sultan Abdul Hamid II’s time, many mistakes were made. However, we will never allow the idea of defaming Sultan Abdul Hamid II’s personage.
