Instead of the sense of devotion for fellow townsmens the PKK terror organization uses in the Southeast, we need to activate devotion for Islam. That is because devotion of Islam is very strong. Devotion for fellow townmens is something far below it in comparison. And because the people there are very pious, great success will be attained in the Southeast in this way. No success can be attained any other way.

The PKK used fear in the beginning, they created a foundation with terror and violence but now they are approaching the Kurds with love, compassion and a spirit of fellowship. In response to the education the PKK is giving to the militants in the mountains, our youth should definitely be given political education as well. They also commit murders because they abide by their lower selves.

God gives one aggressive, abnormal wrong feelings to the lower self, but He also shows the ways to be protected against those with the verses of the Qur’an. The whole system of trial is founded upon that anyways. People need to recognize this highly dangerous threat and be alerted and be careful against it. People generally do not attach necessary importance to the concept of the lower self. Actually it is a special force embedded in humans, it is a negative power; may God forbid it might drive one crazy and might even make one commit murder, it might make one commit suicide. All these troubles happen under the influence of the lower self. People imagine that nothing would happen if they go by their lower selves but actually lots of things happen. It might take one over and drag them into troubles,; the lower self suffocates one.

A Muslim needs to give himself in to the prayers, he needs to focus on the prayer but prayers should not be tiresome. Look at the prayers in the Qur’an. The prayers of the Prophets are always short. “My Lord, increase me in knowledge” (Surat At-Taha;114) That is it. Short but frequent. “My Lord, Guide us on the Straight Path” “My Lord, keep me thankful for the blessing You bestowed on me, keep me acting rightly, pleasing You.”

Saying prayer is very important. What stops the feelings of anguish? Saying prayer does. A Muslim needs to say prayer. For instance, let us say that one is going to make a speech; a Muslim would say, “O My Lord, make me speak beautifully.” Let us say he will eat; “O My Lord, let me enjoy the flavor of this food and make them means for my health. Grant me the joy of being one of those who thanks God.”
