The hypocrite never severs his relations with unbelief. It is food and drink to him. That is a characteristic that continues uninterrupted. For example, he will get up in the night and tell unbelievers all kinds of things about Muslims. That is why God tells us to be on our guard. We must be careful when we speak. Hypocrites must not be told Muslims’ secrets. But the hypocrite will draw close in order to learn them.

He is like a lab rat in a jar: Various doors open up for that animal and the animal thinks it is being very clever. It tries this and that and thinks it is developing strategies. For example, posting a verse on their Facebook page offends their feelings, or the Qur’an, or Muslims. If it were within their power, they would erase them all, because they are ashamed of them. However, they know this would expose them, so they post them halfheartedly and unwillingly. In truth, they hate them.
