Some people might be thinking that they would not be able to take pleasure if they give their love to God. Actually only then they can take the greatest pleasure; only then God would give that depth, that profundity.

It would not be acceptable if love is contaminated with idolatry. For instance, one might say, "I do love my friend a lot, I do love my spouse a lot." And when then asked, "Do you love God?" he says, "I love God as well." That is not acceptable. He should say, "I love my spouse for the good pleasure of God, I love my friend for the good pleasure of God. I love them as the manifestations of God."

You would appear as a mad person when you boast, when you become haughty. That would be very repellent and you wouldn't be loved. When you boast, when you act haughtily you make yourself unlovable. Why do you boast? Why do you act haughtily? You do so, to make people love you, right? Actually it has the exact opposite effect and you lose all the love you have.

If you act rudely, you lose love. If you behave kindly, you gain love. If one is egotistical, he loses love; if he acts in a self-sacrificing manner, love will come back instantly and it will come back even stronger.

When you love someone, you don't act curtly towards that person, you don't act stingy, you do not act egotistically; you look out for that person's comfort, you have that person's best interests at heart.

What is perfect morality? It is patience, compassion, self-sacrifice, honesty, bravery and loyalty. Without fear of God, one would fall into heedlessness. For instance, one might say that he loves God but not perform prayers, saying, "I love God, God doesn't need my prayers." He might have a lot of money but not give alms, saying, "Those in need can find it elsewhere. I do love God and money makes me happy, it helps me be close to God." Or perhaps, one does not act bravely, saying, "I should not risk my life, I am living nicely here." But in fear of God one shows courage.

When one invokes the name of God, feels love for God, his heart would feel relieved. That is what a Muslim lives, that is what we see. Muslims really are very happy and healthy. We look at their faces and see that they are radiant and in peace, and that their hearts are at ease. They feel the joy of being with God forever.

God says, "If you forget Me, I will forget you as well." That is something known to the human soul as well; a person would want to see the most beautiful response to their love and that is also what God wants.

Love of God, closeness to God drives away scourges. Living by Islam meticulously, heeding the lawful and unlawful acts defined in the Qur'an is what drives away scourges.

God says, “I am the Eternal Power Who deserves to be loved. I am the One Who creates all love and all those you love. Their images belong to Me as well. So do not ascribe partners to Me and love Me." And that is what is right.

Where is the verse in the Qur'an that deems music unlawful? Where is the verse in the Qur'an that deems paintings unlawful? What gave you that idea? There is no such ban in the Qur'an. Consequently, by doing so, you have created a hell for yourself. You have made lawful things unlawful and you hope that you will be given a beautiful reward in the Hereafter. May God protect you from Hell. Coming up with prohibitions in the name of God means ascribing partners to God.

The spirit of idolatry brings about cowardice. They fail to understand this. God says, "I will put fear in their hearts." And He really puts fear in their hearts, so they become fearful and cowardly.

Independent love is not acceptable. She says "he doesn't love me enough." First of all, God is the One Who creates love. You are asking for the love of idolaters. You are asking for the love of idols. If you attempt to idolize a man, you would become an idolater anyway. God would plague you, you would feel distresses. God would take away the love from that person's heart. You would niether love, nor be loved. God would make you hollow inside. Love should be directly expected from God.

There is no need to get into a direct conflict with their idols. If necessary, one might protect his faith appearing like he is siding with that idol. I mean if there is a danger, if the idol is about to crush him, if it is going to cost him his life, if it will prevent him from living by his religion, one might act as if he is siding with the idols. This is also defined in the Qur'an; one wouldn't be responsible from that.

They have changed Islam into a pagan, polytheistic system –may God forbid- and the way God uses to bring people into line, to correct their wrong ways is through disasters and scourges, through hunger, wars and terror; God creates a devastating terror for them to change their ways, so they back down from their ways. They, in return hold on more tightly to their idols imagining that their salvation is in those idols. The truth of the matter is that such an attitude is the exact reason why they are in this state.

Idols have always been hated throughout the course of history. But because they have a unifying impact, they garner a fake respect.

There are two kinds of idolatry. The first one is confessed idolatry. For instance, they build up an idol and worship it. That is confessed idolatry. And there is also covert idolatry. That is believing that others, someone or something other than God has power. For instance, it is believing that people have independent power. Actually God is the One Who makes everyone speak, He is the One Who makes everyone speak and do things.

Hypocrites are a serious problem for the entire community. They lie at the first opportunity, and reveal their opposition to God and religion. At time of Prophet Moses (pbuh) hypocrites left Moses alone and returned to Pharaoh only for some beans, onions and garlic. This is how low the hypocrites are. Every time the hypocrites try to do something bad, the Prophets turned that action into something good.

A Muslim should be alert and sharp for 24 hours against secret idolatry. A person frequently comes across with idolatry. One escapes from idolatry but it chases him. When idolatry hunts a person down, he should shake it off and save himself.

They [some people] don't understand God’s laws; that’s why they are so worried about everything. They think that every object, every being in the world is independently capable. They wrongly think that cars, houses, medications, in short everything has a power that is independent from God. That’s why they are continuously suffering, continuously in pain. If they comprehended that there is only one God and only God has power, if they surrendered to God, they would have lived very comfortably.

It would not be compliant with the Qur’an for a person to be worried about the future. A person who worries about the future shows that he imagines that there is a force other than God forgetting that everything is under the command of God; and that would be idolatry. Idolatry is ascribing partners to God and is a grave sin.

A person who puts his trust in God, who submits to God would never ascribe any partners to God. If a person who has fallen ill says ‘ I will now go to the doctor’s, the doctor will give me a pill and that pill will heal me,” that person would be ascribing partners to God. One should say ‘I will go to the doctor’s and God will make the pill the doctor will prescribe instrumental and if God wills so, I will get better.”

All the incidents take place as foretold in the hadiths. We will see Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and we will see the prophet Jesus Messiah as well. We will see the Islamic Union and we will all pass away after we do our duty. No one will remain here. The ones that remain the last will follow us as well, the world will be empty and then the Last Day will break loose.

One might be beautiful but arrogant and that beauty would not have any meaning. Beauty can also be an incitement. One might be young and beautiful but become mad with arrogance and vanity. You might see someone as ugly but that person could love madly and passionately. That person could then present a thousand times more beauty than those you call beautiful.

Ingratitude is the only reason behind God's giving that many troubles in this world. Without gratitude, there would be ingratitude. All these sufferings are the retaliation of that ingratitude. Ingratitude is so horrible. It is such a grave remorselessness.
