A coup is an action that abolishes respect for humanity. One who advocates coups cannot advocate Islam. Democracy exists in Islam.

The idea of a coup is based on intimidation. Our nation's bravery and fearless nature completely neutralised the attempted coup.

The right and left wing that are against the coup and violence in Turkey should come together in unity and act in alliance.

Today, all political parties have to be in alliance. The plotters of the coup are only a handful before the 82 million-strong Turkish people.

Democratic struggle; even with harshest words or opposition is acceptable. But firing at civilians can never be accepted.

On the night of the coup attempt, before anyone else appeared on TV, I said that it couldn’t have been done with the army’s chain of command.

With this recent incident, God solidified the bonds of brotherhood in our people. People saw the menace of lovelessness.

God showed the menace of lovelessness and anger and how it can turn into shocking cruelty.

In one night, God inspired entire Turkey to unite and stand together. This was a blessing of God.

We need to hear everyone condemn with the strongest words saying that those who fired at civilians, who ran over civilians with tanks are the vilest of men.

God trains and disciplines our people by great incidents. First the PKK, then the parallel structure become instrumental in strengthening our people.

Turkey has encountered an unprecedented incident in its history. This happening has caused the Turkish people to interlock as never before. This never happened in the 60s and the 80s.

I have said that all political parties should come together in a meeting and support one another since this was a move against Turkey. With the meeting the CHP and the AK Party held together today, this is exactly what they did; they joined hands in the face of attempts against Turkey.

A mentality set on martyring their own citizens, mothers, sisters, brothers is shocking. Orders to kill civilians can never be accepted.

Being against the coup doesn't mean supporting a political party. As the people, we must emphasize that we're against the coup and united as one.

Such times could be very open to provocations. It's important not to be angry. Anger takes away reason.

I congratulate our people for their bravery once more. Turkey is bold in heart altogether.

The fact that we love our army very much, we are very close to our soldiers and our army is very powerful should be explicitly emphasized to the whole world.

They might be aiming to create hatred in the society against our soldiers and thus to weaken our army in their feeble minds. We, as a nation, would never fall for such a plot.

It is obvious that the main goal of this coup is to lay the foundation for the invasion of Turkey. That is why our government should be cautious about this aspect of the attempted coup and take precautions accordingly.

This coup might have been staged to disturb our people merely as a preparation for their goal to separate and invade Turkey.

May God bring an auspicious end to all operations being carried out. May God enfold our people with His Light and protect them from troubles and pain.

It is obvious that Turkey is facing a threat of invasion. Our defense systems should definitely be reinforced.

Coups have always paralyzed Turkey and dragged us backwards. Coups never bring any solution; on the contrary it just makes problems grow.
