Thanking God, saying “Alhamdulillah” is a way of showing love. "Oh Lord I do thank You," you say. What does thanking mean? If there is no love inside that, it loses its whole meaning. The meaning of it will be completed only if there is love in it.

Look at the Qur'an as a whole; love prevails throughout the whole of the Qur'an. The Qur'an lays the ground for love. The Qur'an settles the foundation of love on a very steady ground with the fear of God, with the love of God and the threat of Hell.

“Rahman and Rahim." These Names are all about love. The whole aim of the Qur'an is love. The goal of the fear of God is love. Those who fear God pave the way for love. Those who fear God would easily love and be loved yet those who do not fear God would neither be easily loved nor love.

Everything is beautiful in Heaven. God puts lovers there. People there are beautiful, plants are beautiful, flowers are beautiful. The whole purpose is love, God's whole intent is love.

Imitation, false love is most horrible; it is something God doesn't like at all. Hypocrite women and men, unbeliever women and men, cruel women and men are masters in this false, imitated love.

What is the sole intent of Almighty God? To love and to be loved. But to be loved how? To be loved sincerely and wholeheartedly not with false pretenses. That is why people always look for sincere love, why the whole world looks for sincere love.

Almighty God says, "If you abide by God you will be happy." What does this mean? If you do not abide by God, you cannot be happy. What kind of unhappiness is this? You suffer, you live in fear, you feel restless, you become apprehensive. You writhe in pain. Life will turn into a living hell for you.

Almighty God wants to be loved. We do love God greatly. May He love us as well, insha'Allah. May we be the servants of God that He loves.

“Thank” is a word of love. What does thanking God mean? It means my Lord, I do love You very much, I do love You madly. I extend my endless thanks to You. This is the meaning of hamd (thanks).

Martyrdom is what God likes the most. God finds the greatest love in that. But a Muslim should will for that, not just randomly but should sincerely and wholeheartedly will for that praying "My Lord, I ask martyrdom from You."

When the time comes and a Muslim becomes a martyr, that is what God loves the most; that is the highest form of love. That is because it means one gives his life for God. Isn't one's life precious? He says, "My Lord, You made me love my life, I love You more than my life. My life is Yours. I am Yours." This is what it means. That is why Almighty God keeps martyrs in a separate place and does not make them die. They do not taste death.

The Greatness of God gives a great pleasure to a Muslim. It makes Muslims happy. I mean being under the command of the Great and Omnipotent God pleases a Muslim.

When in comfort, they unite against God in wide masses and rebel against God almost worldwide. When they are crushed, they pray to God and beg. What is the need for that crushing? Do not do that, be wise, repent. Be thankful to God and say, “O Lord, You are Great, I do love You so much” and see that God would make blessings rain down on you. Why are you looking for trouble? Why do you go astray and run riot? Why do you crush yourself?

God wants to be loved with a profound love. God wants a deep, attentive rapport. For instance, God says, "Be thankful to me, render your thanks and invoke My Name frequently." The goal here is to establish a constant connection with Him. God loves to be loved but He loves to be loved greatly and that is Almighty God's due. That is because He is the Owner of everything, He is the Owner of all beauties.

A Muslim should hold on to God to death. He should accept being martyred, becoming a veteran, to be imprisoned, to be put into an asylum. He should be able to be thankful to God when those things happen. Then God opens his path to the utmost.

There is no patience in Heaven, there is no courage, there is no reason to be courageous. You cannot be patient, courageous, brave. There is nothing to resign one's self to. Purity, self-sacrifice, none of those exist in Heaven. It is the abode of fun. Of course there is being thankful and praising, there is seeing the Manifestations of God and loving.

There is a special system organizing poverty in the world. There are individuals leading that system and there are those who give orders to them as well. There are those who give orders to those who give orders. There are those who they cannot see giving orders. Poverty is specifically being organized and they cannot stop it. God says, "I bring about poverty when they fail to be thankful." What God says happens, people cannot stop it.

Blessings will increase if one is grateful. What does being grateful mean? It means abiding by the Qur'an, submitting to God and being pleased with what God gives. The man is not pleased with God and is constantly complaining. He believes – may God forbid - that God has treated him unjustly. How could there be blessings, if this is the case? Of course, such a person is not given blessings.

When one lives among Muslims, even if God gives very limited means, he feels happy. Even if a limited beauty is formed, that feels like a great beauty for Muslims. For instance, a Muslim has a small table but he feels happy with it but that is not the case with unbelievers, they would ask for better even if they have the best table setting. A Muslim on the other hand knows how to be thankful and he thanks God for his position.

The most reasonable, the most perfect arrangement that is needed for people to live happily in a community is defined in the Qur'an.

Societies attain happiness when women are happy. For women to be happy, they should be free and well-protected. Both the state and people should be protective of them, everyone should protect and watch over women and they should be treasured everywhere they go so that they could be happy and vivacious.

Believing in God is what makes people happy the most, it is what beautifies them the most, it is what brings about plentitude and abundance, it is what brings about joy. It is the greatest beauty of Heaven for all eternity. Having faith in God is the greatest blessing of all, and so is love as a beauty having faith in God bestows upon us. This is the source of life; it is the cause of life.

Beauty, happiness, love and kindness of believers infuriate the supporters of satan. They get very jealous to see those blessings.

A believer only weeps out of joy and happiness. He would never cry out of grief.

What does "salam" mean? It means love. " It means no harm will come to you from me." Then what does it mean? It means keep your heart at ease and in comfort, be happy. Look at the origin of all these words, all these expressions, there is love, deep in the origin of all these words.
