Have a look at radicals; God stripped them of all blessings. I consider people in need free of that, but radicals are those who live a life of great misery. I mean one might be poor but still keep himself clean, well-cared for and beautiful. But how do we see the deprivation of all God's blessings in radicals because of their radicalism? We see that in their dirty and repugnant ugliness.

The lower self, jealousy and egocentricity make one’s body do abnormal acts eventually. People assume that nothing bad will happen if one follows his lower self; actually lots of things happen. It would ruin a man. The lower self is the propelling force in those who commit suicide. It drives them mad and drags them into committing suicide. They also commit murders because they abide by their lower selves.

God gives one aggressive, abnormal wrong feelings to the lower self, but He also shows the ways to be protected against those with the verses of the Qur’an. The whole system of trial is founded upon that anyways. People need to recognize this highly dangerous threat and be alerted and be careful against it. We are to look for the acts that please God the most.

People generally do not attach necessary importance to the concept of the lower self. Actually it is a special force embedded in humans, it is a negative power; may God forbid it might drive one crazy and might even make one commit murder, it might make one commit suicide. All these troubles happen under the influence of the lower self. People imagine that nothing would happen if they go by their lower selves but actually lots of things happen. It might take one over and drag them into troubles,; the lower self suffocates one.

A Muslim needs to give himself in to the prayers, he needs to focus on the prayer but prayers should not be tiresome. Look at the prayers in the Qur’an. The prayers of the Prophets are always short. “My Lord, increase me in knowledge” (Surat At-Taha;114) That is it. Short but frequent. “My Lord, Guide us on the Straight Path” “My Lord, keep me thankful for the blessing You bestowed on me, keep me acting rightly, pleasing You.”

Saying prayer is very important. What stops the feelings of anguish? Saying prayer does. A Muslim needs to say prayer.
