PRESENTER 1:Master, I would like to learn the following; this is something you have emphasized previously, you made a very explicit statement about it. For instance Bediuzzaman said in his book Kastamonu Addendum p. 59. "That person who is truly awaited and who will come a century later." Then in a different quotation from the book al-Tasdiq al-Ghayb p.9, it is said: "From this fact it is understood that blessed person who will come later.. " In this way in around 60 places Hazrat Bediuzzaman says, "the person who will come later". He always mentions a person.
SAYYID SALIH OZCAN: Yes
PRESENTER 1: Some Nur followers however say that Hazrat Mahdi (as) is a collective personality. What would you recommend to them?
SAYYID SALIH OZCAN: My brothers have either not understood or they do not want to understand. It's either one of them.
PRESENTER 2: Your conviction is that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will come as a person.
SAYYID SALIH OZCAN: He will come as a person. Prophet Jesus (as) will also descend as a person.
PRESENTER 2: This was also what our Master told you, right ?
SAYYID SALIH OZCAN: This is how it is. This is what I believe. This is my conviction.
PRESENTER 2: As you know, both you with your name, and our big brother Mustafa Sungur and also other brothers ; there are 12 absolute assignees and close students of our Master Bediuzzaman, who are also mentioned in the Risale-i Nur. Do all those brothers think that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will emerge as a person, as well?
SAYYID SALIH OZCAN: No doubt they are.
PRESENTER 2: This is the common conviction of all of them is it not?
SAYYID SALIH OZCAN: Yes, their common conviction.
PRESENTER 2: So Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will come as a person in the End Times after the Master, Bediuzzaman.
SAYYID SALIH OZCAN:Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will come. We do believe that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will come. We also believe that the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will come as well.
