One makes a mistake, commits a sin and throws himself, he suffers. This is not what God wants from you. He simply says "repent and go on with your life." He doesn't say, "Cast yourself down, devastate yourself." Such are abnormal acts; such are the acts of the idolaters. In the end God is the One Who makes you do that mistake. There is good in that. You simply will not repeat it and that is it. You will make up your mind, won't do it again. Quote
