Our Prophet (saas) did not call people to himself, but to the Qur'an. None of the prophets called people to themselves but rather, to the Books of God. For instance, the Prophet Moses (pbuh) called to the Torah, the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) called to the Gospel. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will be calling people to the Qur'an as well. Quote
