Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will come as the vizier of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), that is what our Prophet (saas) foretold. In order to honor the Mahdi, in order to emphasize his greatness, Almighty God sends Jesus Messiah as his vizier. The greatness of the Mahdi could be appreciated from that alone.
