There is a negative force that is called satan but it's effect is weak. The important thing is that if we use our good conscience, if we use our mind, Allah constantly reveals in our conscience. For instance when we do something, if it is wrong, it comes to us as knowledge; it is revealed to us. It is inspired in our hearts. If we resist that knowledge, we would be acting conscienceless. If we do not resist it and act on it, we would be acting in compliance with our good conscience. Quote

Sincerity is the foundation of good morality. Being in constant connection with God and not thinking negative about God not even for a second is very important. Most people fail to do that. You would then understand. When you see the Mahdi (pbuh) Allah reveals that in your heart that he is the Moshiach, King Messiah, Mahdi. You would then understand, you would then feel his existence. The first affliction that comes upon a person when he does not act by his good conscience is the loss of his mind. Such a person would lose his mind. Would he be aware of his situation? No, he won't be aware: That is because he would be left to his intelligence alone, so he cannot understand his situation. His mind would be lost and he would be left to his intelligence alone. God generally does not take away one's intelligence, but He takes away his mind. Except for some rare occasions, God does not take away one's intelligence. However when God takes away one's mind, his intelligence would no longer have any use for him. His intelligence would only get him into troubles from then on. Intelligence would make him grovel.
