God regards martyrdom as the highest form of love. That is what God likes the most. But of course the most acceptable martyrdom is attained while one is actually striving on the path of God. That is because such a person goes to war openly knowing that it is possible that he will be killed and will be martyred there. Going on a struggle on the path of God, without feeling fear, is what is most acceptable. Quote
