Due to the geographical structure of the region, technically the PKK would not lay down their weapons anyway. There is ISIS in the region, there are many radical organizations. These organizations all are out to get the PKK and kill them when they find them. According to their own mindset, PKK militants believe that they have to have weapons for self defence. In this case, that is all that it takes. They would never lay down their weapons, it is not possible. Quote
