Adnan Oktar: And to establish markets for the very poor, so that such people can go and get their papers from the neighborhood unit or elsewhere, this is not something to be ashamed of. This is an honor for them. This would broaden their Heavens in the Hereafter insha’Allah. They will have notebooks, where they can write their daily requirements like this much cheese, olives or bread, and sign under the list. This is a remedy and a solution to the economic crisis.

We, the Esenler municipality, have opened up the EDIM charity market for low-income citizens to shop as per their needs.  We determine those who are really in need and give these families a card called EDIM Card. A monthly credit is loaded to the card according to family’s need and number of children in the family. Families can go to the market and shop according to their needs. Our citizens can find anything from food to clothing, from furniture to white goods in our 600 square foot store with a 2 thousand square foot depot. We have started a new period of municipality aids in Esenler with EDIM.
