According to Zaman, Bashar Assad is using cluster bombs on his own people.

ADNAN OKTAR: It’s not the Assad himself doing that, it is the Assad regime. Assad would be afraid of doing something like that, he wouldn’t want to do that. He is being held a prisoner. If they want to do him a favor, they should save him from this. However, the Assad regime is psychopathic, there is a deep state there. They are made up of crazy murderers. Professional murderers. If Iran and Turkey ally, they can get him out of there and help calm things down. Ahmadinejad has to be spoken to, he has to have things  very clearly. It’d also be good to call officials from the Syrian embassy and talk to them. They would be convinced after a brief, sincere explanation, insha'Allah.

Iran’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Ekber Salihi gave a speech during the ‘national dialogue’ meeting in Tehran, which saw the participation of the Syrian administration and the opposition, and said that they support all the peace related efforts in Syria.
