Allah does not want a love that is devoid of quality. The entire current system is established upon this poor-quality love right now.

To attain a resolute love for Allah by thinking, by finding Him in a complicated system, And not to leave Him in any way; this is the love that Allah admires most. For instance, a scourge is inflicted on him but he never gives up loving Allah; he suffers trouble, in his old age or in times of sickness but never abandons Him. Then the quality of his love increases tremendously.

Allah loves beauty, to be admired, to love and be loved.

In the Qur’an, Allah makes it obligatory upon man to think. Moreover, He wants us to think deeply. As one thinks deeper, Allah places knowledge in people’s hearts. He sees the truth, and comes ever closer to Allah. The love he feels for Allah becomes profound.

One does not enjoy a woman out of lust alone. You must enjoy her passion, her role as a manifestation of Allah, her affection and her compassion. You must delight in protecting and watching over her. You enjoy her goodness and beauty and happiness. You delight in her loyalty and, above all, her religious devotion.

A person is passionately devoted to someone he loves. He has compassion and wants to protect and watch over them all throughout his life. Most important of all, he wants to be together with them in the hereafter. That love is love for Allah.

BECAUSE LOVE IS FROM ALLAH, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO DIRECT THE LOVE WITH ATTENTION. It is a unscrupulousness to withdraw one’s attention from Allah. ONE NEEDS TO FOCUS HIS ATTENTION ON ALLAH AND DO WITH HIS UTMOST CARE.

We, on the other hand, say, “We love Allah most”. ALL LOVE BELONGS TO ALLAH, for Allah creates whatever we see. Besides, it is Allah Who makes us love, He inspires some kind of attraction between the two parties, which is very beautiful. A great blessing, masha’Allah. That is why it is very important to devote one’s whole love to Allah.

We will not let anyone to be disloyal and treacherous against the Prime Minister. Treachery is an abnormal behavior that Allah does not like, it is a collapse of good conscience.

How beautiful is a loyal, allegiant person. There is no risk of that person's stabbing you in the back, no risk of him playing tricks on you, no risk of his being disloyal, no risk of him not being thankful for what he's given. Such a person would have no worldly ambitions, no worldly expectations; his entire goal would be the Hereafter.

The lover would do all kinds of sacrifices for their beloved one. If need be, he would sacrifice his own life for God, and protect and watch over the beloved one. He would take great care to prevent her honor, her pride, her chastity, and to prevent any harm to her mind or her body. He would pay attention to her food, her drink, her sleep and everything about her. This is the sign of a lover. He would protect her at all costs.

God loves self-devotion, self sacrifice. That is why God loves martyrdom. This is one of the beauties God loves the most. God calls it "one of the two best things." God calls martyrdom and becoming disabled while striving on the Path of God as the two best things. That is one's losing his arm, his leg on the Path of God. God likes this very much.

Not being self-sacrificing is a grave lack of conscience, it is a lack of moral turpitude. For instance, those Syrians who took refuge in our country are inoffensive people. Of course sheltering them brings about a financial burden and difficulties but it is worth the sacrifice. Let our money be spent instead of watching those children and households be annihilated, see them tortured and in suffering.

Religion is quite easy and plain. There is love, compassion, friendship, brotherhood, forgiveness, generosity, self-sacrifice, bravery. How nice generosity is; for instance, there is a person you love and you see that he doesn't have anything. You act generously and it makes him happy and pleased. That would do you good as well.

A Heaven resided in by robots is not an environment God likes, God doesn't want robots. One who hasn't proven his loyalty, his patience or his courage wouldn't have a feeling of self-worth in that sense. That means he couldn't regard himself as worthy and beautiful if he didn't make sacrifices, if he didn't act generously, if he didn't strive on the path of God, if he didn't do anything to show his love.

Without love, without passion, without profundity, without real love; what are you looking for, everything loses its meaning. You know as some say, those left behind are beastly people. They are so repulsive, so disturbing to us, we have trouble calling them humans. But if one is self-sacrificing, courageous, patient, determined and brave we feel an admiration for him.

What is perfect morality? It is patience, compassion, self-sacrifice, honesty, bravery and loyalty. Without fear of God, one would fall into heedlessness. For instance, one might say that he loves God but not perform prayers, saying, "I love God, God doesn't need my prayers." He might have a lot of money but not give alms, saying, "Those in need can find it elsewhere. I do love God and money makes me happy, it helps me be close to God." Or perhaps, one does not act bravely, saying, "I should not risk my life, I am living nicely here." But in fear of God one shows courage.

Loyalty is for God. The cost of loyalty is very hard for a faithless person. It would get a person into trouble. It brings plenty and radiance to Muslims, it brings beauty. It is an immense beauty and bravery. Every single minute one shows patience would shatter his bones and cause a great suffering. Patience is shown only with faith. That is why people are obliged to the Qur'an.

If you run after the transient world, God would make it constantly run away from you and the world would then become a trouble for you. However, the world would become beautiful with self-sacrificing people. For instance, our Prophet (saas) was very altruistic and selfless. His companions were very altruistic and selfless. None of them were self-seeking. Societies with self-seeking people collapse.

God has given very nice secrets that would keep one's mind sane. Before all else, one's commitment to God would keep away all immorality, all abnormality. Putting one's trust in God would take away the torment one does to himself. When he becomes patient, he would become friends with everyone around. When one is loyal, he would attain a personality everyone would love. When one criticizes himself, he keeps his sanity intact. When one is criticized by others, he becomes a rational, stable and loveable person.

All the songs are about crying because faithfulness or fidelity is lost. What does religion ensure? It ensures fidelity, faithfulness and patience.

A vindictive person cannot attain quality. To attain quality, there should exist a forgiving, self-sacrificing nobility that would face up to all sorts of sacrifice for the beloved ones.

Some wear burqa, some wear scarves, some don’t, and some go to beach. Everyone is being put to the test individually. We must respect everyone, and consider everyone as our Muslim brothers.

HAVING A POOR LOVE OF ALLAH IS NOT BECOMING TO ALMIGHTY ALLAH’S GLORY. LOVE OF ALLAH MUST BE PASSIONATE. That is why Allah creates prophets, Mahdis, saints. They are few in number, but that is sufficient for Allah. Allah admires it.

A free youth having a broad knowledge of culture, with the faculty of judgment, broad horizons, and free will was the goal of Ataturk. This is our goal as well, insha’Allah.
