Love, beauty and art are the goals of life: Without them why would you ever bother to build bridges, why would you bother building tube tunnels from the land or under the sea? All those things would be vain. For love to exist, art and aesthetics nurturing love should be attached great importance.

Artists are teachers of love, teachers of beauty. The door should be opened all the way for artists. A Ministry of Arts and Aesthetics should be established.

If artists are not appreciated properly, art will disappear completely in time and then the world will be tarnished. The beauty of the world would then be destroyed. Artists are the ones that beautify the world.

Leaving an artist to his own means during his difficulties is a lack of good conscience. First of all, an artist should not struggle to make a living. They should be provided a perfect life. The state has many means, so these means should be at their disposal so that they can comfortably perform their art. If you force them into a life struggling to make a living, how could they perform? How could they perform under these conditions?

Islam will appear in the face of this world as an utterly modern, joyous, healthy system, open to science and arts, open to beauty and aesthetics. It will appear like Heaven. Islam will not be an environment full of filth and darkness, causing people to suffer, hanging people, chopping people up, far removed from aesthetics; it will not be an environment in which filthy people are living. God would not harm Islam like that and will not let Muslims harm Islam like that.

The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) is the sultan of arts and aesthetics. He is the one who taught arts and aesthetics to the world. Christianity learned the arts from him. They have learned how palaces should be adorned, how the masjids should be adorned, how the buildings should be adorned, all from him. The palaces in Europe, the palaces of the Ottomans have all been built by emulating the palace of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh). The Prophet Solomon is the father of all palaces, he is the father of arts, aesthetics and beauty.

They have misrepresented Islam as ugly and frightening. They have misrepresented it as a system of violence, as a hellish movement. They have misrepresented Muslims as killing machines, as fond of massacres, and thus caused people to take a great dislike to Islam. The fact of the matter is, however, that Islam means beauty, aesthetics, arts, reason, knowledge, culture, understanding, goodness and sincerity.

If you regard arts as unsavory, if you despise music, painting, sculpture and architecture, if you attempt to run away from a house with paintings, if you say "dogs are evil, you should chase off them when you see them," such a country would never advance. The reason why Europe advanced is because they are open to arts and science.

There has to be art everywhere, the artists should be protected. By founding a Ministry of Quality and Arts, all the beauties of art should be presented to our people.

Love is very important. Suffering through ordeals is very important. Wherever there is a person in need, wherever there is a suffering person, if he is an artist, he would become a genuine artist. A person who hasn’t suffered any pain would instantly be felt. He would instantly be known.

Artists are people of love. People of love live on love. Artists would die if you do not show love to them. They won't be able to perform art either. You need to applaud them, encourage them, compliment them, award them and blandish them. They need to know that they are loved to feel exuberant.

Art ennobles the human soul, it beautifies people and is the urgent nutrient of human soul. Europe has realized this and put that into practice very early on. They have attained very nice results in the end. Radicals, on the other hand, have dealt one of the biggest blows by estranging the Islamic world from the arts.

Let there be freedom, let there be democracy. Let everyone strive for that with all their might. That is because wisdom, the arts and science develops in a free environment. Under the pressure of a state, wisdom will be atrophied. People would not have power of understanding. There would be no artists, no scientists. Industry atrophies, people lose their eagerness to work.

We need to protect artists very well. It is not that easy to bring up artists. Artists are beautiful people who try to present people beauties; all artists care for is beauty. They also should be treated nicely and protected as their due.

Since artists are not appreciated as much as they deserve, there are few artists around the world. However, painters and sculptors should be held in high esteem and such occupations should be regarded distinguished. They should be appreciated everywhere.

God is the Real Artist. It is important to know the Real Artist Who created the artists.

God is the One Who creates all those statues and paintings. God makes those artists instrumental in their creation. Those works of art were all created in destiny long before their artists were born.

The state should carry out anti-communist, anti-Darwinist activities. The PKK would be done with, long gone, if they had done this. They constantly feign ignorance even though there is an exact solution for the matter and that prolongs the problem.

People should be trained regarding love. Love is the main anchor point of the world. There is no life without love.

A general amnesty, etc., are unreasonable, dangerous things. Beware! Don't you dare! It would be a devastating disaster to pardon those who killed our soldiers.

The Qur'an holds women in high esteem. Women are praised, exalted and protected in the verses. Those who claim that "women are half-people" have a completely different mentality and they are not abiding by the Qur'an in that sense.

There will be no payment of interest when Mahdi (pbuh) appears because the collecting of interest is unlawful. No Islamic country could stop it but with the appearance of the Mahdi, it will be stopped. That is because the Mahdi (pbuh) will not make any concessions regarding the Qur'an and he will do whatever is commanded in the Qur'an.

Mahdi's facilitating and easing of religion means his removing unlawful acts that are not defined by the Qur'an. For instance, is music unlawful? No: There is no such verse in the Qur'an. He will explain to those who claim that music is unlawful that it is lawful.

The awaited Mahdi (pbuh) will revive Islam and bring life to it by easing it. He will ease religion and remove the chains of radicalism from the shoulders of the people.

With radicalism, they have stigmatized Islam throughout the whole world. They want to extinguish the sun of Islam. Hanging people, chopping the up, beating and degrading women, calling them half-people, demanding no music, no pictures, no art, no goodness, no beauty, no affection, no nothing. Are you all mad? It is as if they have a longing for Hell. There is no such thing in Islam.
