Of course, a believer should be open to advice. A Muslim might make a mistake, there is nothing wrong with this but he should always pay heed to advice of others: In other words, a Muslim shouldn't be arrogant, disrespectful and snobbish, right? Even though he won't follow the advice, he should politely listen to it within the limits of the Qur'an and say, "I will try hard to do so."

Some people suspect others of being hypocrites. Let's assume that they are hypocrites; then educate them, communicate with them, talk to them through the verses of the Qur'an, be patient with them, right? Otherwise, people would not want to talk to each other, no Muslim would want to see or speak to another Muslim. If you start accusing people of being hypocrites, disbelievers or sick, there will be no one left to talk to.

But if you try to win atheists, disbelievers, those against Islam over, then you should try even harder to win over the Muslims who have a sickness in their hearts and weaker faiths. You can easily commune with such people as they are already among you. No matter how abnormal they may behave, how ill-tempered they are, the merit, the reward of trying to win such people over are greater.

Hypocrites believe that in time, the order God has established will collapse. So they deem Muslims weak. Just as Muslims believe that Islam will prevail, hypocrites believe that the disbelievers will prevail. They believe that the party of satan will prevail. For that reason, they never trust in Muslims and Islam.

Muslims do not get offended with each other. The heart of a Muslim is always together with God. The world is a short, temporary course, a place of education; this is no place to make a name for oneself, to claim to be superior, to claim to be intelligent and so forth. When observed from outer space, the world looks like a speck of dust. Go further and you cannot even see it anymore. Mankind is only a particle within the speck of dust. A pitiful creature indeed. So from where comes this arrogance? We will soon be dead and gone.

A new generation of people emerged among some Muslim groups. They are self-important people enthusiastic on giving advices for others without practicing anything themselves.

Blind, angry criticism is very wrong. Criticism is necessary, but it should be done to help, not to humiliate.

We should strive to win all Muslims, no matter what. If mistakes were made, we should do our best to help correct them.

Muslims have a duty to protect one another like their own brothers.
There is the system of protective friendship, that is to say, guardianship in Islam. Everyone is like one another's own brother and family.

All Muslims constitute a single community. All mosques in the world are the buildings of this community, all Muslims of the world are its members.

Criticism should always be constructive and include a solution. It’s important to point to solutions that will help people.

Self-criticism is crucial to prevent arrogance. If one thinks of himself as immune to mistakes, he’s already fallen into satan’s trap; self-criticism is a remedy. God forbid, those who refrain from it will only hurt themselves.

A Muslim feels pleased by being criticized and corrects his mistakes. A hypocrite, on the other hand, gets paralyzed when they are criticized.

Fiercely defending one's own desires is a mental illness. One should get a grip on himself in this situation and take refuge in God. He should ask himself, "How did I turn into such an abnormal person?" He should listen to what others have to say in a reasonable manner. A Muslim is open to 'al-amr bi-l-maʿrūf wa-n-nahy ʿani-l-munkar' (enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong). Therefore, he becomes wiser with ease.

Democratic struggle; even with harshest words or opposition is acceptable. But firing at civilians can never be accepted.

Anyone criticizing us must document his criticism with proofs from the Qur'an. They must say, “This is wrong according to this verse.” It’s unacceptable to say, “This is wrong according to my own conviction.”

A believer can make an error but he does not insist on doing it repeatedly.

A person may have done many mistakes before he practices religion. It is not right to suffer due to these mistakes according to the Qur'an.

One makes a mistake, commits a sin and throws himself, he suffers. This is not what God wants from you. He simply says "repent and go on with your life." He doesn't say, "Cast yourself down, devastate yourself." Such are abnormal acts; such are the acts of the idolaters. In the end God is the One Who makes you do that mistake. There is good in that. You simply will not repeat it and that is it. You will make up your mind, won't do it again.

One says ,"When I make a mistake, my good conscience disturbs me, it makes me unable to breath." That stems from letting Satan suffocate you. Why is there the need for that, my brother? You simply put your trust in God and that is it, you repent to God. What does repentance mean? You hope God will accept your repentance. Then, what does being suffocated mean? That would mean that you do not trust God. If you've made a mistake, you've made the mistake in your destiny. Did you decide to never to do it again? You did. If you are determined about this, that takes care of it.

One should not knowingly push something, insist on something. What has happened would always be good for a Muslim no matter what. It is something defined in destiny. But one needs to hold on to reason.

Everyone can make mistakes. It’d be cruel to shut them out, to bring down a person because he made one mistake.

It is important to win people over. Anyone can make a mistake. It is important to allow them to correct their mistakes.

Sometimes courtesy is to turn a blind eye to mistakes.

In this world the trial we are living is a seemingly one; actually, in the esoteric sense, we are being educated, this world is a course. Because God already knows what we will do. He is the One Who created us. In other words, God knows what we will do since eternally before. We have already been here and done that. The point of this trial is to train us, to show us our true selves. God makes us face our true selves. In other words, He makes us love ourselves. He is preparing us for the afterlife.
