As related in the hadiths Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will attract the hatred of the hypocrites upon himself.

The ruling about hypocrites is very harsh. In the Hereafter even irreligious people will be in a better place than the hypocrites.

Hypocrites look for a place to hide when they hear the recitation of the Qur'an. In the Qur'an, God says that "they turn their backs in aversion." But they approach when they hear idle talk; this is a characteristic of a hypocrite.

Hypocrite plays mind-games in his own way. He approaches with plain logic and try to present himself as very religious and very superior in every aspect; yet all the while he tries to present Muslims as bad in every aspect.

Hypocrites have an inferiority complex. They are determined to present themselves as superior towards Muslims.

A hypocrite would be determined to go to other hypocrites; they attract him like a magnet. Hypocrites burn inside when they are with Muslims. They feel a strong instinctive urge to go to other hypocrites. When they go with their side they take up a position there and that place becomes their hell. They start following Muslims from that position.

Hypocrites make plans in secluded corners. They establish connection with satan, then they fall into a trance. That is why hypocrites always tend to be alone. They always want to be alone; they always want to be on their own. They do not want that trance with satan to be disturbed.

Hypocrites go into a trance with satan and receive information from him. Satan advices them, saying, "Do this, do that, do this evil act, do that immorality and create such and such conflict," when they are alone. Because the Name of God is recited when they are with Muslims, their concentration is disrupted.

Hypocrites cannot stand to listen to the Qur'an. They would be vexed and feel suffocated. That is because the radiance in the face of a Muslim would suffocate them. They are reminded of God when they see Muslims and that makes them disturbed.

Hypocrites cannot do anything on their own: For instance God is the One Who makes them found Masjid al-Dirar. God is the One Who creates the hypocrites. They [hypocrites] are created for Muslims to acquire merit.

Hypocrites talk nonsense. They do not want to talk about God; this is the characteristic of hypocrites. They burn inside when they talk about God. They always try and talk by giving examples. I mean they give examples from other people, they give examples from their environment. They always talk with examples. This is the main characteristic of hypocrites.

There is an anomaly in the gaze of hypocrites. I mean they try to veil their hatred. That is why the gaze of an hypocrite would become dull. But even if they try to conceal it can easily be understood.

God gives time to the hypocrites. For instance they might appear to be very healthy when as God says, "I am pulling them into troubles step by step." Every year, every month that passes by pulls them into troubles.

Hypocrites are always after vengeance. They either attempt to take revenge with their words or with their eyes, or they attempt to disturb Muslims with their immorality, or try to make them uneasy or try to get them into trouble, but they do so under the disguise of a pious person.

Hatred pours out from the eyes of hypocrites, I mean they have such an evil electricity on them. They want to conceal that hatred, but they cannot succeed.

The greatest ideal of hypocrites is to pull away from Muslim, to revolt as soon as possible. That is because they need to take up a position. That is to say, to strike from a distance. But of course while doing so, they would not strike their first blow in a way that Muslims would understand. They try to do that in a way they wouldn't understand. And they have a tendency to depart by presenting themselves as Muslims.

Hypocrites pine for gaining power and honor in disbelief. But when they go join them, their profanity burns them out and devastates them. They dive into that profanity as they burn and they burn even further as they dive deeper into profanity. That constitutes a system that constantly competes with itself and it swallows them and devastates them until they end up in the middle of hell.

Hypocrites assume that remaining aloof from Muslims is a wise move. And because they always are determined to keep away from them, they live in that spirit, constantly standing up to Muslims, constantly rebuffing and acting obstinately towards Muslims. They never bend towards Muslims.

Hypocrites always assume that power is outside the circle of Muslims. Yet if they could even see a part of their strength, they would start admiring them. That is why our Prophet (saas) always showed strength to them and then the hypocrites came to heel. That is the characteristic of Muslims.

The PKK became rabid on one hand, the hypocrites became rabid on the other and the unbelievers became rabid. They are attempting to do all sorts of vileness. Muslims should behave very temperate and very reasonable. They should be aware of the fact that God is the Creator of all movements. They should see the good in everything and act patiently and reasonably according to the Qur’an and respond accordingly.

Hypocrites are the dirt among a Muslim community. Just like Muslims get rid of the dirt on them when they bathe and become immaculately clean after that bath, they wash themselves with soap and get rid of that dirt and become squeaky-clean and healthy. And you say, “Why doesn't that dirt stick?" Muslims are clean, they do not live with dirt. They wash off the dirt and get rid of it, hypocrites are thus washed off and what remains behind are radiant Muslims.

Hypocrites provide great advantages for Muslims. First of all, their existence increase the fervency and enthusiasm of Muslims. It increases their determination for struggling on the path of God, broadens their horizons and increases their vigilance. It mitigates their lassitude and languish in case they have such weaknesses. They become bolder and more sincere.

Hypocrites deny their immorality until the last minute. They do not accept it, even in the Hereafter. They act garrulous but Almighty God stops their speech. God takes away their verbosity.

Hypocrites ask the Prophet to excuse them, saying, ´Our houses are exposed,´ when they were not exposed. What do they mean by saying that their houses are exposed? They mean to say, "I have a family at home, I need to take care of them, of their education. I need to bring food to my spouse at home, I need to take care of her. My store is exposed as well. My trade is mired down, I need to take care of that." Well my brother, alright, but they are killing, martyring Muslims all over. Is your store more important or their being martyred?

Sometimes the acts of Muslim might look very much like the acts of a hypocrite but that doesn't make him a hypocrite, it only means that he caught a disease. When you save him from that disease, he would go on as a Muslim. But when you apply the same treatment to the hypocrite - there is a grave danger here - the hypocrite might appear as if he is saved as well, but he continues his ways underhandedly.
