Our youth wants modernity, they want sweetness. There is a spirit of concretion, a greyness all around and youth does not want this. Being grey is not good; a Muslim should be full of life and joy.

People do not come believe with radicalism, but they come to believe with modernity.

There is a serious inclination towards piety among our youth and that is very nice. Modernity has different levels; there is a lower level of modernity, a moderate level of modernity. What we want is an ultra-modern and devout model.

Ultra-modern Islam is an amazing inclination to arts and aesthetics and taking science to the highest level. It is the beauty of style. It is aiming the most beautiful manners, the most beautiful appearance; in short it is aiming the most beautiful of everything that is good. When you completely abide by our good conscience completely, you become ultra-modern Muslims.

The essence of Islam is ultra-modern, the superstitions and life style of idolaters on the other hand are ultra-radical.

Ultra-modern piety is living love in the highest level. Our Prophet (saas) was ultra-modern and handsome.

My humble advise to Master Tayyip is to openly show his support for modern life style, modern people and modernity. That is because the whole Europe is modern, America is modern, the whole world loves modernity.

Quality should be advanced constantly. One cannot say “I am perfect,” one cannot say “ I am very good.” Quality in everything unburdens one’s heart. Freedom unburdens one’s heart. People like modern people.

CHP should not follow the advices and instillations of a handful of communists but they should follow the general tendency of people. With its modern aspect, with its endearing aspect, with its Kemalist aspect, they can then soundly come to power, insha’Allah.

Ronaldo would very lovingly embrace the understanding of Islam as we communicate, the understanding of Islam as lived in the time of the Companions of our Prophet (saas) .

We have showed the model of Modern Islam to the Muslims in Turkey and in the World.

Insha'Allah we are in an age in which everyone will be brothers and peace will prevail; an age in which persecutors will lose their influence, all wars, anarchy and terror will stop and love, respect, goodness, beauty, abundance, modernity, science and democracy will prevail.

Bigoted people are mostly very obtuse and very dull. The children of many bigoted people live a modern life. For instance their daughters mostly do not cover their hair. Many of them do not have any religious friends. That stems from a reaction against lack of quality. Actually had they seen high quality people around them, they wouldn't engage in such an abnormal behavior.

If we present the modern face of Islam to the people, Islam would prevail in the world.

It is Bediuzzaman Said Nursi who first brought modernity, the concept of modern Islam to Turkey and the Islamic world.

There should be music, there should be paintings, there should be statues, there should be aesthetics; young girls should be able to wander around well-groomed, young men should be able to wander around handsome and glorious. Let everywhere be like an art gallery. Then the whole world would admire Muslims.

Islam will appear in the face of this world as an utterly modern, joyous, healthy system, open to science and arts, open to beauty and aesthetics. It will appear like Heaven. Islam will not be an environment full of filth and darkness, causing people to suffer, hanging people, chopping people up, far removed from aesthetics; it will not be an environment in which filthy people are living. God would not harm Islam like that and will not let Muslims harm Islam like that.

A modern, enlightened, loving Islam, that is based on love will prevail in the world. They should not struggle in vain other than that. It is not possible to attain any results without a modern understanding of Islam.

The plot they devised against Turkey, against the Turks, can only be dashed by making Turkey the most modern, highest quality state that attaches utmost importance to the rights of women, arts and science. Otherwise it seems that the plot they devised works like clockwork; Turkey is being dragged into the darkness of bigotry.

If we become a very modern country, a very enlightened country, if we attain the highest levels in the rights of women, if we become outstanding in arts, science, aesthetics and quality, we would become the strongest country in the world. Otherwise we would be a country that inevitably remains in the chain of Middle Eastern countries. Everyone would walk all over us and we would be devastated, may God forbid.

For all the people across Europe, for people all around the world to be friends with us, before all else, for God to love us we need to become an amazing teacher of love. That is to say, we need to show an unprecedented personality. The world should watch us in awe. And we should be very, very modern.

Had some bigots been given free reign, neither listening to music, nor sculptures, nor paintings, or freedom for ladies putting on make-up and going out would be left. These people are quite bloodthirsty. That is why Turkey should swiftly go towards a modern, religious line.

We need to be the most modern country in Europe. Ankara should be even better than Paris. Istanbul should be far more high quality than London. It should have incomparable quality. There should be decent, kind, companionable people of peace everywhere. Everyone, people from all walks of life, people from every political party should feel love for one another in coffeehouses and streets.

Our Prophet (saas) was the most modern person of his time, the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) was the most modern person of his time. Some people imagine that struggling against modernity is a necessity of Islam. Satan deceives them and shows it as a wrongful path. Modernity is a blessing. Heaven is the most modern place the human mind can perceive of. Muslims should target modernity.

A country in which women are not modern can never be modern. A country in which women are not comfortable and free can never be free. No one would ever laugh in a country in which women do not laugh. If women are not happy in a country, no one else can ever be happy.
