Islam cannot be communicated by hanging people and chopping people up. It can only be done with preaching, by endearing people to Islam, by persuading them.

Love is a very engrossing, a very amazing feeling. It is not like eating or drinking. It is the most pleasing blessing. If one asks, "Would you prefer eating or love?" It is love. If one asks, " Would you like us to give you a yacht or love?" The answer is love. What good would come out of a yacht? It is just a huge wooden thing. Think about going aboard in the middle of the sea? What would you do if there is no love? What good would that do? Or else let us imagine that you are given a castle but there is no love in it; that castle would turn into a giant prison. It would do no good.

A Muslim could be poor or rich. Our Prophet was poor in the beginning and God says, "Did He not find you impoverished and enrich you?" Muslims are patient in times of difficulty and they are good- mannered in times of richness. Our Prophet lived as an orphan for years and all his childhood passed in poverty.

When they are made fun of during their preaching they say, "I am demoralized." They have no idea about destiny, they have no idea about the Qur'an. Thank God for seeing such a miracle. Be amazed; your good deeds are increasing while their sins are increasing. What is your goal? Is it not to attain good deeds? You then say that you are sad. Why should one be sad because his good deeds have increased?

Some people communicate religion but they say, "I am communicating religion yet they are making fun of me." What kind of a preacher are you? You do not know the first thing about the Qur'an? You hit your feet on the floor and it makes a sound right? When you communicate, they would of course make fun of you; this is the law, this is the law of God. If you are preaching religion they will of course make fun of you. Why are you surprised about it?

They imagine that preaching religion means talking and writing a lot. Instead of doing that, show your love for 15 minutes and it would be 15 million times more effective.

Radicals assume that talking in an all-knowing manner would disseminate Islam. Islam would never be disseminated in this manner. People would like to see your sincere love. They would want to see your clean-cut clothes, your cleanliness, your liveliness, your effort to beautify life. These things show Islam applied in practice. When they see them, they embrace Islam as you tell them.

Islam will appear in the face of this world as an utterly modern, joyous, healthy system, open to science and arts, open to beauty and aesthetics. It will appear like Heaven. Islam will not be an environment full of filth and darkness, causing people to suffer, hanging people, chopping people up, far removed from aesthetics; it will not be an environment in which filthy people are living. God would not harm Islam like that and will not let Muslims harm Islam like that.

What is meant by jihad in the verses of the Qur'an is struggling; an intellectual struggle, an effort, all sorts of activities. People tend to take it as if it means "hanging people and chopping them up." The fact is however, jihad is the name of the effort put on the path of God.

The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) is the sultan of arts and aesthetics. He is the one who taught arts and aesthetics to the world. Christianity learned the arts from him. They have learned how palaces should be adorned, how the masjids should be adorned, how the buildings should be adorned, all from him. The palaces in Europe, the palaces of the Ottomans have all been built by emulating the palace of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh). The Prophet Solomon is the father of all palaces, he is the father of arts, aesthetics and beauty.

If the money spent on weapons is spent on those in need, there would be an inconceivable wealth in this world. There would be plentitude all over the world. They are spending money on weapons, on killing people. Weapons will be destroyed at the time of the Mahdi (pbuh). Money that used to be spent on weapons will be distributed to Muslims, and to wretched people and those who are in need.

It is a religious obligation to wipe unbelievers off the face of this world. But of course this is done with knowledge, with information, with love, with laws and the legal system. Weapons should be kept, not with the intention of using them, but as a deterrent force.

What we see from the verses is that there is a possibility even for Pharaoh to believe if he is preached to. Then communists, PKK militants, atheists, everyone should be told about religion. How? With a lenient, kind and respectful manner.

One says "I am very rich." How can you be rich? He says, "I have a yacht." Where is that yacht? It is inside your brain. Where is that yacht? It is inside my brain. Then how could "you" be rich? All goods, everything belongs to God. Almighty God creates them as shadow things.

They have misrepresented Islam as ugly and frightening. They have misrepresented it as a system of violence, as a hellish movement. They have misrepresented Muslims as killing machines, as fond of massacres, and thus caused people to take a great dislike to Islam. The fact of the matter is, however, that Islam means beauty, aesthetics, arts, reason, knowledge, culture, understanding, goodness and sincerity.

Heaven is immaculately clean. There are paintings in Heaven, there is music, there is beauty. All the women are very well kept and well-groomed in Heaven. Turn this world you are living in into Heaven on Earth; why do you have to turn it into hell? God wants us to turn this world into Heaven with our faith, with our intelligence, with our efforts.

God makes the whole world grovel, the whole world is in a wretched state right now. And that is created specifically. There is no real reason for this world to be poor. There are vast lands. It is possible to carry out all sorts of agricultural activities. There is technology, there is everything. Amazingly, God creates economic crises and famines. There is no real reason for those. They are created miraculously. That is because people forget God. Had they praised God and invoked His Name, riches would have flowed all over them profusely.

Love, beauty and art are the goals of life: Without them why would you ever bother to build bridges, why would you bother building tube tunnels from the land or under the sea? All those things would be vain. For love to exist, art and aesthetics nurturing love should be attached great importance.

Women are very much affected by intellect and faith. That is what a woman looks for in a man and a man looks for that in a woman as well. This is not something about flesh and bones; there are very beautiful women but you cannot feel love for them if they are dishonorable. You cannot love them if they are unkind. You cannot love them if they are ungracious. You cannot love them if they are perfidious, egotistic, selfish. You cannot love them if they are unable to think freely and sincerely.

If you have a beautiful mind and a beautiful conscience, God would bring a beautiful person into your destiny. Why did God bring about that much beauty for the Prophet Solomon (pbuh). The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) did not attain those beauties by striving and by working for it. God gave them to him because of his piety.

Sincerity is an immense comfort. Sincerity makes one beautiful. Those who are sincere know what love is. Those who are not sincere are crooks; they are evil.

One finds peace and tranquility in Islam. Islam would bring one relief, it would provide friends and companions, wealth and riches, it would bring about plenty. You can live in peace with everyone. Unbelief, on the other hand, is like a poison, it brings about pain and suffering. One grovels in unbelief.

There is a lobby for poverty in the world. They are keeping the whole world in poverty by means of a special system. That is a system that has been working unfalteringly for 100 - 150 years. Only at the time of the Ottoman Empire that system did not work; they could not order the Ottomans around.

The lobby of poverty is under the control of the system of the Antichrist. The Antichrist has been using this system specifically to crush people. It crushes villagers and the workers. It is a special system: It causes pain, it commits murders, it sheds blood. The system of the Antichrist, the system of the satan feeds on that pain. But the system of the Mahdi will stop the bloodshed, stop the pain and solves poverty.

Israel is the one who instills religiousness in the region. At that time, Palestine was the center of communism. All the communists were trained there. Egypt was a center of communism, Syria was a center of communism. They became religious after the foundation of Israel. They looked at them and saw that they are religious and decided to be religious themselves.
