Love, beauty and art are the goals of life: Without them why would you ever bother to build bridges, why would you bother building tube tunnels from the land or under the sea? All those things would be vain. For love to exist, art and aesthetics nurturing love should be attached great importance.

God is love. Almighty God loves His servants, and He wants His servants to love Him as well.

We have love inside and out; we have love in our hearts. It is love that will save the world. God wants love. The Qur'an tells us about love from cover to cover. The Qur'an is the book of love.

If there is a fervent love, that means there is a fervent faith. If one has a fervent love for a woman, you should know that he possesses a fervent faith. That is the sign of it.

When one asks for love, he should first aim for the love of God. No love can be formed if there is no love for God or fear of God.

Love is something that widens as one uses his mind. It develops in proportion to one's mind. For instance, you act loyally and the love you receive increases. You show compassion and the love you receive increases. You act patiently and the love you receive increases. You protect and watch over others, the love you receive increases. You think deeply and act considerate, the love you receive increases. You talk kindly and it increases; you refrain from telling lies and it increases. You constantly act honestly and it increases. You constantly approach others warmly with good intentions and it increases. One would detest the other if he sees anything contrary.

Man is a being made up of blood, flesh and bones. Man possesses a thousand and one different weaknesses. How could one feel love for that? One would be insane. One could only be loved if he possesses the soul of God, if he is a noble being, if he is a being that would live for all eternity.

If a person does not believe in God, it would be impossible to find it in one's soul to trust that person. How could one see the other person if he does not possess the mind to see God? If one does not have it in his heart to be thankful to God, how could it be possible for him to thank another person? How could one be loyal to a servant of God if he cannot be loyal to God? It is faith that ensures the energy and nobility of love.

Forcing a woman into a relationship even though she doesn't have love or affection in her heart, even though she doesn't have such a desire, is outright ignominy, characterlessness and dishonor.

There are some conditions for the union of a woman and a man. First of all the woman should feel a deep love for that man, she should have a deep respect; she should value and trust that man. She should see that man as her lawful spouse and feel passion in her heart. Only then God could give a feeling of contentment. Attacking the bone and flesh of a woman as if she is a dog is a very atrocious behavior.

God is the Owner of Knowledge. God gives us knowledge that He wishes to give. God is the Owner of love as well. We are loved as much as God wishes. God is the Owner of manifestations. When we love a person we love the manifestation of God in that person.

The beautiful aspect of the Gospel is that it talks a lot about love. The Gospel talks a lot about affection, friendship, forgiveness and brotherhood. It is very refreshing in that respect. It is very pleasant.

Give your love to God. He gives his love directly to his child and fails to say, "My Lord, how beautiful You have created my child, how beautiful You manifest Yourself." That is when God gives a lot of troubles. A thousand an done different torments. God either takes away that child from him or gives him a disease or some trouble, or takes away his riches from him. Why do you not say, "O Lord, thanks be to You. How beautiful You create beauties. These are all Your manifestations"?

God is pleased when the Greatness of God is expressed. God does not need it, but He wants love.

Love is the purpose of the foundation of this world. Almighty God would not create the universe if it was not for love. He creates for love. Love is also the purpose of Heaven. Love is the purpose of the trial [of the life of this world] as well. What God wants from us is love.

For you to believe in love in Heaven you need to show self-sacrifice, bravery, patience, cleanliness and piety. A Muslim feels sure of himself because he shows that morality; he feels sure of being loved. Those who love him, love him in that respect anyway.

"God loves the steadfast." That is how we recognize love. If one cannot be steadfast, that means he does not have love. For instance, one might have a loved one but it is important for him to preserve that love; I mean love cannot be for only two days. Some are like this, they love only for a day. They have love for a night. They have a fancy to be blunt. But a Muslim wants love for a lifetime and for all eternity.

No matter how attractive a person is, if God does not bestow love upon that person, they could not be loved. God is the One Who creates that attractiveness, and He is the One Who makes it loved.

Life turns into a nightmare if one remains aloof to religion, to Islam, to fear of God, to love of God. They do not say a single word about God. Just say "God" for once. Would they cause you any pain? Just say "God" for once - nothing would happen. They do not say it and the result is an inconceivable distress, an inconceivable tension. There is zero love. There is nothing in them to call love; love is extinct for them. They have no respect either; they have completely lost the feeling of respect.

Religion is quite easy and plain. There is love, compassion, friendship, brotherhood, forgiveness, generosity, self-sacrifice, bravery. How nice generosity is; for instance, there is a person you love and you see that he doesn't have anything. You act generously and it makes him happy and pleased. That would do you good as well.

Love is the portent of believing in God. When one believes in God, love would instantly be formed. God would instantly embed love in their hearts. In the verse, Almighty God says; "As for those who have faith and do right actions, the All-Merciful will bestow His love on them."

One remains standing only with love. When the system of love is disturbed, the whole body falls ill.

Ar-Rahman and Ar-Rahim (Most Compassionate and All-Merciful). Both of those Names express love. Love is in the origin of both of those Names. Ar-Rahim means the One Who protects with love, the One Who looks after, the One Who is always after goodness, the One Who always creates with goodness.

“Thank” is a word of love. What does thanking God mean? It means my Lord, I do love You very much, I do love You madly. I extend my endless thanks to You. This is the meaning of hamd (thanks).

The Names “Rahman, Rahim” are refreshing. They express refreshment. But in the Name "Al-Kahhar" love is hidden. God damns the unbelievers and saves Muslims. He takes Muslims' revenge; God takes the revenge of all those He loves. The Name Al-Kahhar is also a sign of love. His damning unbelievers stems from God's love for Muslims. That is why there is a hidden love in it.
