Islam cannot be preached with the traditionalist Orthodox understanding of Islam. They put impertinent men on television and they talk about their own superstitions with the mindset of the 1930's and 1940's – I exonerate religion related topics. Such people can only address their own peer group with their mindset. The youth, on the other hand, watch these people with astonishment and repulsion. Actually neither their culture, nor their knowledge is suitable to communicate religion.

Radicals are about to wipe the beautiful religion of Islam off the face of this world, because of the religion of their ancestors. They have ruined Muslims as well. Everywhere around the world people are being cut up, beaten, abused, insulted and spit upon. Some behead others, some drag others on the ground behind moving cars, they riddle others with bullets, they throw barrel bombs at them. There is an inconceivable system of persecution. These will all come to an end if and when they turn towards the Qur'an.

Radicals prohibit everything beautiful. They preach everything that is atrocious, everything that is difficult. Their encouragement about crying is unbelievable. God refers to it as a characteristic of unbelievers. "They will cry a lot and you will laugh," God says to Muslims. And they turn everything around and tell Muslims "Do not laugh, cry a lot!" How could one's mind and soul endure this? Go do sports, eat, drink, laugh, perform your religious observances, beautify everywhere. Let the arts prevail everywhere.

The greatest trouble of bigots is jealousy and envy. Right now, in the End Times, the reason behind this great corruption is jealousy towards the Mahdi (pbuh). Appearances of false Mahdis, their clashing with each other, their trying to forcefully declare people who do not claim to be the Mahdi as the Mahdi are all manifestations of this jealousy.

Bigots are chatty. They know very well to deceive. They know demagoguery as well. They know fraud, slyness and deceitfulness very well. They smile to your face but they are treacherous. They systematically make plans. In the end God plagues them. Their plots hit them in the end.

We talk to them reciting verses and say, "That is what God says in the Qur'an". They reply saying, "This is not what the hodjas we know are saying." Why do you not trust the Qur'an? You do not trust the Book of God. They insistently search for the religion of their forefathers in the Qur'an. They refuse anything else if they cannot find it in the Qur'an. The fact is, however, religion is learned directly from the Qur'an, not from forefathers.

Islam is the religion of ease, not difficulty. But radicals have made it very difficult, so much so that it became impossible to live by. That is why a great portion of the people in the Islamic world do not live by Islam.

Radicals constantly talk and speak about superstitions. What is their aim? They have no love inside. All they talk about is how to beat a man, how to behead someone, how to humiliate women and that is it. They are philosophizing on how to hate each other. There is no love in radicals.

Radicals assume that talking in an all-knowing manner would disseminate Islam. Islam would never be disseminated in this manner. People would like to see your sincere love. They would want to see your clean-cut clothes, your cleanliness, your liveliness, your effort to beautify life. These things show Islam applied in practice. When they see them, they embrace Islam as you tell them.

God creates easiness for us and deems us successful in easiness. Those who look for difficulty are ruined; they are defeated, they are crushed. All those looking for traditionalist Islam, for orthodox Islam, are crushed. Who needs that; why would you change the immaculately radiant religion of God? Why do you raise difficulties while God has created religion of ease? How nice it is, live joyfully.

When you abide by the easy religion of God, when you abide by Islam that is natural, pure belief, the religion of Mohammed (saas), you go to Heaven. But in the religion you make difficult with superstitions, in the religion you rarified and made impossible to live by, you go to Hell. Both your world and your Hereafter will be Hell. Why are you looking for such trouble?

Traditionalist, orthodox Islam regards women as half-people. Actually women and men are equals. Almighty God emphasizes this fact in many verses.

I keep saying this insistently; had they advocated the modern understanding of Islam in Egypt, the whole of Europe and the US would have supported them. The whole world would love them, recognizing them as an amazing power as well. One should perform prayers, fast, give alms, make pilgrimage yet they should simply be modern. They resist this.

The world would never accept an understanding of Islam that is incompatible with human nature. First and foremost, God would not accept it: Every time they attempt to bring about such a corrupt, rotten, filthy understanding of religion that reminds one of Hell, God would degrade them, humiliate them, drag them on the ground and ruin them; let me state this openly. They should forget about it.

Islam will appear in the face of this world as an utterly modern, joyous, healthy system, open to science and arts, open to beauty and aesthetics. It will appear like Heaven. Islam will not be an environment full of filth and darkness, causing people to suffer, hanging people, chopping people up, far removed from aesthetics; it will not be an environment in which filthy people are living. God would not harm Islam like that and will not let Muslims harm Islam like that.

Once you get dragged into the swamp of traditionalism it is like a bottomless pit which contaminates you more and more. Radicalism is an affliction that increases incrementally. One says, "I am a radical." The other says, "I am even more radical." They wallow into the most inconceivable filth in competing one another .

A modern, enlightened, loving Islam, that is based on love will prevail in the world. They should not struggle in vain other than that. It is not possible to attain any results without a modern understanding of Islam.

Radicals believe that they are the most devout ones when they turn the life of this world into a life in Hell, when they misrepresent Islam as hellish. For instance, they believe that it is out of piousness when they turn praying into an inextricable act. They believe that it is out of piousness when they make it impossible to perform ablution, whereas God described performing ablution in a single line in the Qur'an.

Radicals had Muslims decimate one another. One party kills the others and vice versa. They took pride in that. "Today we have killed two hundred Shias, praise be to God," they say. The others say, "We have killed three hundred Sunnis today, praise be to God. We have bombed them." This radical understanding of Islam brought about this disaster.

Radicals have always been obsessed about the marriages of our Prophet (saas), his love for women. They never want to recite or talk about the verses related with that subject. They merely want to gloss over that subject completely. For instance, they do not want to talk about the fact that there are women in the Heaven.

God wants the world to be beautiful and decorated. He adorns the world gloriously. Radicals, on the other hand, want a dark world. Do not attempt to destroy the adornments created by God, do not try to dispel the adornments created by God. You should be trying to present the adornments created by God in the most beautiful manner.

Mahdi's facilitating and easing of religion means his removing unlawful acts that are not defined by the Qur'an. For instance, is music unlawful? No: There is no such verse in the Qur'an. He will explain to those who claim that music is unlawful that it is lawful.

With radicalism, they have stigmatized Islam throughout the whole world. They want to extinguish the sun of Islam. Hanging people, chopping the up, beating and degrading women, calling them half-people, demanding no music, no pictures, no art, no goodness, no beauty, no affection, no nothing. Are you all mad? It is as if they have a longing for Hell. There is no such thing in Islam.

Satan complicates religion and people thus keep aloof from religion. They transformed Islam into the most terrifying religion in the world right now. They misrepresent it as a system that kills all life, that removes all aesthetics, all the beautiful aspects of life, as a system that demands terror, that demands bloodshed and that ruins life. The fact is however, Almighty God says, " God desires ease for you; He does not desire difficulty for you." And He says " God has selected you and not placed any constraint upon you in the religion —as in the religion of your forefather Abraham."

Radicals consider the commands of God in the Book He sent as insufficient. For instance, salat (prayers) is explained in the Qur'an yet they see it as insufficient and try to add things to it. Fasting for instance; they look at the Qur'an and see it as insufficient. They try to add things to it. They try to add things to every other religious act. But if there is something that is in conflict with their own interests, then they try to subtract things from those commands. They say, "This verse has been nullified, the command of this verse has been lifted".
