Love is very important. Suffering through ordeals is very important. Wherever there is a person in need, wherever there is a suffering person, if he is an artist, he would become a genuine artist. A person who hasn’t suffered any pain would instantly be felt. He would instantly be known.

If you regard arts as unsavory, if you despise music, painting, sculpture and architecture, if you attempt to run away from a house with paintings, if you say "dogs are evil, you should chase off them when you see them," such a country would never advance. The reason why Europe advanced is because they are open to arts and science.

If there is no quality in a country, it means there is nothing left for that country, may God forbid. Without quality, there would be no life, no art. Since life is intertwined with the arts, we give the name “quality” to the beauty that appears in there.

If artists are not appreciated properly, art will disappear completely in time and then the world will be tarnished. The beauty of the world would then be destroyed. Artists are the ones that beautify the world.

Artists are teachers of love, teachers of beauty. The door should be opened all the way for artists. A Ministry of Arts and Aesthetics should be established.

Love, beauty and art are the goals of life: Without them why would you ever bother to build bridges, why would you bother building tube tunnels from the land or under the sea? All those things would be vain. For love to exist, art and aesthetics nurturing love should be attached great importance.

Artists should be given prominence. Their love, their affection, would have a positive impact on society. Artists have a special kindness, they have a special quality of the soul. They could be a very nice example for society in that respect.

The main characteristic of Asia is that a lack of quality rules in Asia. Human life has no value in Asia. I am not saying this about everywhere in Asia, but in general they regard people as machines. Turkey's European, loving, modern way of faithful thinking, full of love for God, will put away this dreadfulness. We will be a role model for the whole world.

Once you unleash a lack of quality, it would be like a very deep pit. It goes on and on deeper towards disgrace. It goes on and on towards ignominy.

A meeting lacking quality, a building lacking quality, attire lacking quality would all bother people; it distresses people. Quality on the other hand unburdens one's heart. It is a blessing of the world. Quality is the other name of beauty.

A Ministry of Quality should be formed as soon as possible. And the Ministry of Quality should follow a policy that is based on quality in ideas, in people, in gardens, in trades, in every sphere: Quality should become the national policy of the state.

A life lacking quality is horrible; it is the other name of Hell.

A person lacking quality is a grave scourge. First of all, they should underline high-quality thinking, high-quality opinions. High quality books are required for that. High quality works, high quality writings are required. If you attempt to educate people with loveless, hateful writings lacking quality, the outcome would be wild and crude people lacking quality.

When a person lacking quality enters a high quality building, the quality in that location would disappear. But when a high quality person enters a low quality location, it would make that place high quality. He would make it a high quality place with only slight changes.

We need to protect artists very well. It is not that easy to bring up artists. Artists are beautiful people who try to present people beauties; all artists care for is beauty. They also should be treated nicely and protected as their due.

Leaving an artist to his own means during his difficulties is a lack of good conscience. First of all, an artist should not struggle to make a living. They should be provided a perfect life. The state has many means, so these means should be at their disposal so that they can comfortably perform their art. If you force them into a life struggling to make a living, how could they perform? How could they perform under these conditions?

Islam will appear in the face of this world as an utterly modern, joyous, healthy system, open to science and arts, open to beauty and aesthetics. It will appear like Heaven. Islam will not be an environment full of filth and darkness, causing people to suffer, hanging people, chopping people up, far removed from aesthetics; it will not be an environment in which filthy people are living. God would not harm Islam like that and will not let Muslims harm Islam like that.

The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) is the sultan of arts and aesthetics. He is the one who taught arts and aesthetics to the world. Christianity learned the arts from him. They have learned how palaces should be adorned, how the masjids should be adorned, how the buildings should be adorned, all from him. The palaces in Europe, the palaces of the Ottomans have all been built by emulating the palace of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh). The Prophet Solomon is the father of all palaces, he is the father of arts, aesthetics and beauty.

Artists are people of love. People of love live on love. Artists would die if you do not show love to them. They won't be able to perform art either. You need to applaud them, encourage them, compliment them, award them and blandish them. They need to know that they are loved to feel exuberant.

It is crucial to commission our village guard brothers within the scope of police officers’ posts and it is crucial to increase the number of the village guards. The Southeast problem would thus be fundamentally solved. The solution lies in increasing love first; secondly, compassion and thirdly, the number of the village guards. There is nothing else other than that.

Wealth that comes with faith and with love of God is very nice. Only then one becomes generous, only then one becomes friendly and spends his wealth on children, on people. One would then earn plenty but also spend plenty. Right now there is neither earning plenty nor spending plenty. There is poverty everywhere.

In order to have a deterrent force, the quality of the weapons used should be increased considerably. The special operations team, the Maroon Berets, soldiers should be given state of art automatic weapons. That would make the PKK shiver in fear.

Intelligence looks very good on women. I mean that intelligent expression in their eyes. For instance, a woman who gazes with birdlike, empty eyes loses all her glory, all her splendor. If one doesn't have such a genuine problem with her mind, it is such witlessness for a woman to accept such an appearance.

Whoever attempts to turn this homeland into a hell on earth for us should be well aware that the Last Day will come upon him. If they do not leave our homeland to us, we would not leave this world to them. The Last Day would then break loose. The whole world would then turn into a flat desert. They should bear this in mind.

Jerusalem is a blessed, holy city. A relief comes upon those who visit Jerusalem, they get a grip on themselves. That is a characteristic of Jerusalem. God gave such a blessing, such a relief, such an exhilaration to that city: That is the same with Mecca. Those who go there do not want to come back.
