Some people never accept patience and ordeals, yet ask directly for blessings. That is unacceptable. You can neither attain Heaven like that nor attain the good pleasure of God. This is a place of trial not a place of fun. Almighty God says, "If We had desired to have some amusement, We would have derived it from Our Presence, but We did not do that." Heaven is the place of amusement, there is no such thing in this world.

Almighty God creates life in a state of sleep; the Qur'an refers to this deep secret. People do not know that they are in a state of sleep in this world. Actually, they all are in a dream right now, they all are dreaming. Some of them, for instance philosophy researchers, realize this fact in a state of awe and dismay.

God says that, "This world is not the place for play and idle sport. The Heaven is the place for play and idle sport. This world is a place for trial." That is why if you fasten yourself to this world, you would be stuck with it, says God. But if you aim for the Hereafter, if you aim My approval, I will make you happy for all eternity, you will have fun and laugh. Those who fasten themselves to this world would merely grovel, let me say that much. They would merely wallow and flounder. Nothing else would ever happen.

God gives you a three dimensional image and you view it inside your brain; He gives you the ability to smell beautiful scents so that you smell them; He gives you the ability of tasting so that you find pleasure in those tastes; He gives you the sense of touch so that you touch, you swim in the sea, you go boating, you enjoy the world to the utmost; but when it comes to the Creator, you say, "I do not want to be the object of this." God would then plague you. This world is not a place of entertainment.

Many people are after their own pleasure and their own joy and use Islam to that end. They keep busy with their trade, looking for ways to eat, drink and travel, to get married and get on with their lives. This is the mindset of a great portion of the Islamic world. That is why God ruins the Islamic world. God wants them to turn towards Him yet they do not. God says, "You are after the transient blessings of this world but the Hereafter is the abode that is auspicious and beautiful, if you only knew."

If you run after the transient world, God would make it constantly run away from you and the world would then become a trouble for you. However, the world would become beautiful with self-sacrificing people. For instance, our Prophet (saas) was very altruistic and selfless. His companions were very altruistic and selfless. None of them were self-seeking. Societies with self-seeking people collapse.

Family, getting married, having children are all matters that the hypocrites prefer to religion. That is why they remain irresolute between religion and their idols. Hypocrites idolize their families; they idolize their children. They regard them as leverage against Islam.

This life is short, our life in hereafter is the real one.

Some people assume they will live for all eternity in this world but they will certainly pass away in quite a short period of time.

The life of this world is very brief and it is a brief trial. People need to think about it and understand it.

God created an amazing environment for testing. The short human life, diseases, troubles; they are all a part of our test in this world. Most people are stuck in their test, not really seeing they’re being tested. Because they are not sincere with God, God punishes them.

People become obsessed with this world in vain. This world is hollow and a very difficult place of trial. In the end everyone ends up in a coffin.

God constantly shows people that this world is transient. Heaven is the real abode. God constantly draws attention to love towards Him.

This life is not for getting rich, or pursuing worldly goals. This life is to love and fear God.

The Dajjal movement wants people to consider life as pointless and vain. It wants people to have the sole purpose of getting rich and married or just procreation and watching soccer games, etc. Those people usually live without thinking about the Hereafter, remembering it only on their deathbed.

Many people cannot understand that this world is a place of trial. Their workplaces and the things they do at work make them forget the trial.

God turns the world into a living hell for those that forget God, and chase the world instead. With their darkened faces, they live unhappily.

There is no aspect of this world that could justify people’s being devoted to it. Yet, hypocrites are insanely devoted to this world. Hypocrites’ attachment to this world is fiercer than that of the unbelievers.

There are difficulties in the world because love flourishes with difficulties. In the absence of love, everything loses its meaning. For profound love and passion to come into existence, one needs to go through pain and afflictions. Otherwise a person can’t attain profundity.

This world is somewhere between heaven and hell. God makes believers live in a world dominated with iddylic attributes. This’s a great blessing.

In the Hereafter, when people are asked ‘How long did you stay in the world’, they will be convinced that it had been only ‘a day or less’.

Many people run after worldly desires only, while my friends strive in the way of God’s will day and night.

This world is transient and the trial here is difficult. How nice that our martyrs are blessed with a beautiful rank, we envy the rank they are given.

For true faith to emerge, one needs to always side with God and think deeply by giving all attention to God alone. It won’t emerge if attention is diverted to the worldly life.

Muslims regard illnesses as a means to get closer to God, to lay aside the mundane affairs of this world and to win their endless life in heaven.
