There is no spirit of mourning in Islam. That is idolatry. It is rebellion against God, it is unlawful, it is a sin. Consequently, talking about something that actually means idolatry as if it is a religious act would be wrong.

It is nice for women to be admirable. What is forbidden for both men and women is illegitimate intercourse. I mean what is forbidden for them is to engage in illegal sexual intercourse. Or else there is no harm in a woman being liked, or a man being liked.

It is religiously unlawful for a person to kill himself, it is an assassination. He would thus go to the Sight of God as a murderer who did not repent. That is not acceptable.

When one remains aloof from the Qur'an, the wisdom goes away, that person's attitudes become unwholesome, they no longer pay attention to what is religiously lawful and what is not and they become unstable. But if one abides by the Qur'an, his mind settles, his works go well, an abundance comes upon him, a radiance, a pleasantness, a blessing settles upon him. That is why holding on to the Qur'an tightly is very important.

God would give trouble upon those who make the things God deemed lawful, unlawful.

How could a Muslim ever drink vine with one's eyes open? It would get stuck in his/her throat and he/she wouldn't be able to do it even if he/she wants to. Adultery paralyzes a Muslim. He/she would feel his/her hands and feet tied, he/she wouldn't be able to cope with it. A Muslim wouldn't have the strength to commit a sin knowingly. His/her sight would be lost and he/she cannot bring his/herself to do it, insha'Allah.

Radicals are very inclined to announce many food and jewelry as religiously unlawful even though God deemed them lawful in the Qur'an. In the verses God asks; "I am the One Who creates all jewelries, who have made those unlawful for you."

Religiously unlawful acts put people in distress. It would tear them into pieces. Knowing that something is religiously unlawful, it would not be possible to do it carefree. But because weakness of faith makes a person's body paralyzed, because it makes the flesh rot away, such a person would not be affected by it and would easily do unlawful acts. Actually it is impossible for an alive and fresh mind and body to do something religiously unlawful. A person can only do unlawful things if he is dead inside. A lively person would never be able to do that as it would be an unbearable pain for him. That is not something that a Muslim could ever do.

There is no such thing as killing in the Name of God. Murder is a capital offence that would be punished with eternity in Hell according to Islamic law. It is not something a reasonable Muslim could ever do. Only a bloodthirsty, monstrous, psychopathic person could do that.

It is religiously unlawful for two Muslim groups, two groups on the right path, to struggle against each other. It is a religious obligation for all Muslims to try and reconcile them, it is an obligation upon all Muslims. I mean that is not something left to their discretion but a religious obligation upon all of them. They should strive to reconcile them by all means.

It is very easy to not to go to Hell; you have got to love God, you've got to fear God. God says; "I have given this world to you. Eat, drink, have fun, love, play, dance as ever you like." What does God's saying "I have given this world to you," mean? It is God saying; "This is yours, do whatever you like." There are a handful of forbidden things; they are only a handful.

A Muslim should be alert against insanity, against running amok; that is a plot of satan. Satan wants to drag people into Hell. It wants to drag people to its side. A Muslim should not accept that because he knows that it is religiously unlawful; he would seek refuge in Almighty God and say, “God is enough for us and the Best of Guardians,” and avoid unlawful conduct.

We are Muslims; Muslims constitute a whole, they are in unity and they do not fragment. God deemed separation among Muslims unlawful. Fragmentizing Muslims is one of the gravest unlawful acts. It is unacceptable for Muslims to be fragmented under any name.

Prohibitions in Islam could be counted with the fingers of a hand, yet if you try to count the halals (permissible acts) in Islam, your lifetime would not suffice to do so. The prohibitions in Islam are very few and easily be counted with the fingers of a hand. Yet halals are endless.

Radicals have laid such a heavy burden on Muslims; so much so that they have driven Muslims almost mad. They are unable to turn right or left, it is forbidden to laugh, it is forbidden to talk to women. God wants us to laugh; He wants us to be joyous. Why do you hurt them in vain? They are inventing prohibitions on their own. Laugh; laugh as ever you like, wander around as ever you like, put up the pictures you like at your home, put up statues, let young girls put on make up as ever they like, let them be well-groomed; let young men dance and have fun. These are all lawful and permitted according to the Qur'an.

All the beauties of life are in religion; there is music, there is fun, there is joy, there is love. Religion covers the whole of life and makes all those religiously lawful. There are very few religiously unlawful acts. Religiously lawful acts on the other hand are innumerable.

It is religiously unlawful for Turkey to fire a bullet onto ISIL, Taliban or any other Muslim group. That is not acceptable under any circumstances; that would be homicide. We are responsible for preaching Islam with science, knowledge, wisdom and love. We would never be deceived by such an unsavory stratagem.

We do not kill Muslims. We would not lay hands on Muslims; if they are ignorant you simply train them, you approach them with love and compassion. They should show me a command in the Qur'an about killing Muslims. No Islamic scholar would ever give a fatwa to that end, no Muslim could ever give a fatwa to that end. We would never let that happen.

Unbelievers and hypocrites struggle against Muslims. They will cause them [Muslims] pain, they will slander [them], they will play games, they will cause troubles, they will make up stories about them. God says "Do not mind their torments" ; what does “Do not mind" mean? It is a religious obligation. It is a religious obligation not to be affected by those things; if one does mind them, that means he is doing something religiously unlawful. It is a religious obligation not to mind, not to value, not to take seriously the games these impertinent people play.

A Muslim would never kill another Muslim. One who does that would be committing murder. Instigating murder, arbitrating murder are all like committing murder. Beware! ISIS is a Muslim group. They have their mistakes, they have their faults but ISIS consists of Muslim youngsters. Whoever bombs and kills them would be committing murder. And God says ""

Prophets would never come up with additional lawful and unlawful acts on their own accord if they are not defined in the Qur'an. There is an explicit verse in the Qur'an about this.

Religion is very pure and simple. One should have good morals, one should be loving and sincere. Lawful deeds are defined anyway. There are many lawful acts, they are boundless. Unlawful deeds on the other hand are very few. They are defined in the Qur'an as well. One needs to keep away from them and that is it. You would be a good person, a loving person who submits himself to Allah, a person who loves Allah very much. You should not be wooly minded, you should just be honest.

Our Prophet (saas) learned what is unlawful from the Qur'an. There is no unlawful or lawful apart from what is in the Qur'an. The Companions asked our mother Hazrat Aisha (ra) "What is the sunnah of Rasulullah?" And she replied "the Qur'an." So do not invent things. Lawful and unlawful acts are only defined by the Qur'an.

If you abide by the Qur'an you cannot say that music is unlawful, you cannot say that paintings, sculptures, having fun and laughing are unlawful; but if you are in a radical conservative system, music, paintings and sculptures are all unlawful.

Mahdi's facilitating and easing of religion means his removing unlawful acts that are not defined by the Qur'an. For instance, is music unlawful? No: There is no such verse in the Qur'an. He will explain to those who claim that music is unlawful that it is lawful.
