Adnan Oktar:  The Sun rises where it sets. And it sets where rises. That is generally the case. Since the Sun set, it is from here it will also rise. That is my first belief. My second but my fundamental belief is that, according to the hadith, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will appear in Istanbul. There are many hadith about that. They refer to 'Konstantiniyye'. There are also many hadith about the Turks undertaking this duty. Many hadith speak of Hazrat  Mahdi (as) emerging from among the Turks. That is how it appears when we look at the historical circumstances. That is how it appears when we look at the social conditions. From the point of view of the flow of general history  it also appears now that Turkey will be the natural leader.

Adnan Oktar:It is stated that Turkey will be the leader of the Islamic world. Indeed, the incidents of the End Times will take place especially in Istanbul. Indeed, Istanbul is the cultural capital of the world and it is important for all of the world. It is the center for all religions.

Adnan Oktar: The Turkish nation is highly public spirited, courageous, intelligent, good-natured and Allah-fearing and Allah-loving. It is the only country in which Darwinism does not apply, Masha ‘Allah. They are all like lions, Masha ‘Allah. The level of people who do not believe in Darwinism in Turkey is currently 90%. That is the highest level in the world. Turkey is the bastion of faith, a faithful nation. Allah has given this nation the job. There are a great many hadith about the Turkish nation being given this task. For example, he says that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will bring together the dispersed Turkish banners. He will unite the dispersed Turkic states, and that is very important. The Turks, he says; the hadith is very clear. We are now at the stage of  uniting  the Turkic states. This nation is a very heroic and altruistic one. Everyone is a hero. They are very concerned with their honor and good name. They let nobody impugn their honor. This nation will be the leader of the Turkish-Islamic Union. Turkey is the leader, and everyone will see this. Istanbul will be its spiritual capital. It will be the spiritual capital of the whole Turkish-Islamic world. Its political capital is Ankara, and its spiritual capital will be Istanbul, insha’Allah.

During the meeting of the Provincial Advisory Council, Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan stated, “Istanbul instilled in us the love of Anatolia, Thrace, Turkey. It is the city that instilled in us the feeling of mission. This inspired us to present our services to our precious nation.  Istanbul is behind us and as long as our people support us we will continue to serve  Turkey. Istanbul will act as a lighthouse that shows the way. We are not such a nation who bows our head. We are not such a nation, whom people make us bow our head, take away our will, hypothesize about our freedom, define us  by comparing us to others. We never allow any organization to direct our will and pontificate to us. Turkey is a big state.
