Quote
When you talk about something beautiful, they [unbelievers] become jealous. That is why such things are not told to sick people. It is only said to those sincere, righteous Muslims. They would feel relieved with such news but you should not speak of such good news to those jealous, dangerous people with the characteristics of hypocrites. Refraining from saying such things to such people would be an act of worship. You should hold your tongue, be silent and talk about other things.

If Christians say, "God has a son," the Qur'an corrects their mistake. If Christians adopt what the Qur'an corrects, they would then be on the right path. Almighty God says "It is all okay if they perform their prayers, give their alms and avoid ascribing partners to God." Christians would then become Muslims as well.

Quote
The Names “Rahman, Rahim” are refreshing. They express refreshment. But in the Name "Al-Kahhar" love is hidden. God damns the unbelievers and saves Muslims. He takes Muslims' revenge; God takes the revenge of all those He loves. The Name Al-Kahhar is also a sign of love. His damning unbelievers stems from God's love for Muslims. That is why there is a hidden love in it.

“Thank” is a word of love. What does thanking God mean? It means my Lord, I do love You very much, I do love You madly. I extend my endless thanks to You. This is the meaning of hamd (thanks).

Ar-Rahman and Ar-Rahim (Most Compassionate and All-Merciful). Both of those Names express love. Love is in the origin of both of those Names. Ar-Rahim means the One Who protects with love, the One Who looks after, the One Who is always after goodness, the One Who always creates with goodness.

Radicals prohibit everything beautiful. They preach everything that is atrocious, everything that is difficult. Their encouragement about crying is unbelievable. God refers to it as a characteristic of unbelievers. "They will cry a lot and you will laugh," God says to Muslims. And they turn everything around and tell Muslims "Do not laugh, cry a lot!" How could one's mind and soul endure this? Go do sports, eat, drink, laugh, perform your religious observances, beautify everywhere. Let the arts prevail everywhere.

Quote
Radicals are about to wipe the beautiful religion of Islam off the face of this world, because of the religion of their ancestors. They have ruined Muslims as well. Everywhere around the world people are being cut up, beaten, abused, insulted and spit upon. Some behead others, some drag others on the ground behind moving cars, they riddle others with bullets, they throw barrel bombs at them. There is an inconceivable system of persecution. These will all come to an end if and when they turn towards the Qur'an.

Quote
When people wash their hearts with religion; it becomes a radiance and light upon them. But many people imagine that religion takes their lives away. As a matter of fact, irreligiousness takes lives away, fundamentally. Everything turns into a burden for them. Food turns into a trouble for them, their cars, their homes, their wives, their friends, their schools, everything they have turns into a burden. But if they are faithful their wives would turn into blessings, their friends would be blessings, their homes would become their place of worship, their lives would be radiant, everything around them would be radiant and their hearts would be full of relief.

God bestows better means, more beautiful blessings to those who are more devout and that is visible. But of course Muslims will be patient. I mean Muslims should see the beauty beneath the ordeals and the beauty beneath the blessings.

God gives abundance and plenty to the countries with sincerely devout people. If they remain aloof to religion, God gives them troubles and inauspiciousness. This is valid for each and every individual, for each and every individual person.

Quote
Religion is a blessing. A greater part of people- may God forbid- regard religion as if it is an affliction. Actually, religion is the ornament of the world, it is the joy of life, it is the light of the mind, a relief of the heart, it is a divine gift.

Quote
One makes a mistake, commits a sin and throws himself, he suffers. This is not what God wants from you. He simply says "repent and go on with your life." He doesn't say, "Cast yourself down, devastate yourself." Such are abnormal acts; such are the acts of the idolaters. In the end God is the One Who makes you do that mistake. There is good in that. You simply will not repeat it and that is it. You will make up your mind, won't do it again.

Quote
Sleep is the weakness of this world. Every day after a certain hour one feels sleepy. They go and lay down to die and arise from death hours later. They bathe, they eat, again they feel sleepy at night. The time to die comes and they go die again. In the morning they arise from the dead again. Dying and arising from the dead, dying and arising from the dead, one's whole life goes on like this. In the end, they die for real and then arise from the dead in another world.

Quote
Shadow and light are created separately. That is because light is created inside the brain. There is no light outside. There is no color outside either. Light is created inside one's brain. It is pitch black outside. Consequently there is no shadow outside. There is no shadow if there is no light. That means shadows are created separately inside the brain. God says that He creates them both separately.

One says ,"When I make a mistake, my good conscience disturbs me, it makes me unable to breath." That stems from letting Satan suffocate you. Why is there the need for that, my brother? You simply put your trust in God and that is it, you repent to God. What does repentance mean? You hope God will accept your repentance. Then, what does being suffocated mean? That would mean that you do not trust God. If you've made a mistake, you've made the mistake in your destiny. Did you decide to never to do it again? You did. If you are determined about this, that takes care of it.

Quote
Man has a great power of resistance. He orders his brain and doesn't do what Satan orders. For instance, he would serve Islam. The lower-self says, "I am exhausted!" a Muslim responds to his lower-self saying, "You create that tiredness with prompting," and says, "What exhaustion are you talking about? You would be jumping up and down if you were told that you would be given five thousand liras. You are lying, it is not true." Even if the lower-self says, "I am spent, I am tired, I am about to drop down," a Muslim would say, "If there were something in it for you, you would go insane and all energetic."

Satan drags one into a sentimental mode, poisoning his mind, making his brain numb, dragging him into a drunken state. He hands over the rope to the devil and Satan drags him around as ever it wants. A Muslim should break off that rope instantly, saying, "What is going on? What are you doing? I am breaking off this rope!" and hold on to the rope of God. God's unbreakable, unseverable rope.

If one yields to Satan, either resentment or rage would drag him around. I mean those feelings lay hold of him and drags him around. A Muslim should rip apart that claw with a strong blow. He should not accept being dragged around. Being dragged around like that is so humiliating.

For a Muslim, losing one's temper is very bad. Rage takes over one and drags him around as if dragging around an animal. The man indulges in that feeling and disgraces himself. That is not acceptable. One needs to use his mind.

Using one's wit means being in sincere connection with God and trying to see the signs of God knowing in which points Satan would distort one's mind, without getting agitated. That is because God is the One Who leads the mind. What is meant by jihad in the verses of the Qur'an is struggling; an intellectual struggle, an effort, all sorts of activities. People tend to take it as if it means "hanging people and chopping them up." The fact is however, jihad is the name of the effort put on the path of God.

Being patient and trusting in God are two important characteristics that God loves and likes. What does trusting in God mean? It means a Muslim will be faced with great incidents yet he will always put his trust in God and be patient. He will not worry, he will not be sad, he will not be afraid.

God demands piety in the real sense. Or else it is not like thinking that there is a social life and there is religion lived right on the edge; there is no such thing. How could there be something to call a social life? Religion rules every aspect of life. Religion rules everything in a Muslim's life. What does a social life means? You can go anywhere on Earth and only the good pleasure of God prevails in everything you do.

God creates millions, billions, trillions of wonders in this world, so much so that it is innumerable. God wants those blessings appreciated, He wants the artistry He created to be seen and appreciated individually. God says "If you tried to number God's blessings, you could never count them."

Our Prophet's (saas) power of faith exhilarates the companions. Having a person with deep faith among them is an amazing feeling. That is why people love sheikhs, sheikhs of religious orders deeply. They love them because they have strong faith; at least people see them as people of strong faith.

Death is not something challenging for a Muslim. It is like waking up from a sleep. God says "easily"; that means easily in the perfect sense of the word, not in a half measure. If one finds it discouraging to show patience, he would face lots of difficulties. Then one would have to tolerate this. The fact is however, toleration is something, showing patience is something else. Patience is an act of worship done with pleasure. It is an act of worship done readily.

Quote
Something happens and we act patiently. But we also reinforce our patience phase by phase. What is this, then? This is education. An education for what? An education for Heaven. God chooses a handful of Muslims and educates them here. When they are directly put in Heaven, what happened to the Prophet Adam (pbuh) happens. It doesn't work that way, that is to say. With the education given the mind settles, the personality develops and one starts appreciating the blessings of God.

The wisdom of the Qur'an is crucially important. One needs to concentrate on it. Or else you can read many verses in ten minutes if you like. Unbelievers cannot do anything. For instance, the PKK wants to do something and God casts troubles on them. Hitler attempted to do something and God casts troubles on him. People with a superiority complex like and overestimate unbelievers thinking that something would come out of them. Actually as they diverge into unbelief, inauspiciousness, troubles and ugliness enwrap them and they cannot find anything else in unbelief. What would come out of that gutter? Feeling a sense of [unjustified] superiority causes snobbery and leads to impertinence. The tragic thing is that they become miserably senseless. For instance, they start lying swiftly and foolishly. They start talking irrationally, saying things that even the most foolish people wouldn't say. Such people have an astounding anarchy in their souls, an insane anarchy and they become prone to unbelief.

In the Qur'an, God says "We tested you with many trials" (Surah Ta ha; 40) to the Prophet Moses (pbuh). 'We have tested you,' God says. And then he (Prophet Moses (pbuh)) becomes a prophet with firm resolve. If the things he survived were ordinary things, he would have been an ordinary person. But since he has been tested extraordinarily, he became an extraordinary personality.

Materialists say, "If God exists, He should turn this world into Heaven. Why are there all those troubles and pains?" Look at the reasoning here. Haven't you come here to be tested? Since you are not here to have fun, since you are here to be tested, of course there will be pain and troubles. Of course there will be hardship. How are you going to be tested without those hardships?

Islam cannot be preached with the traditionalist Orthodox understanding of Islam. They put impertinent men on television and they talk about their own superstitions with the mindset of the 1930's and 1940's – I exonerate religion related topics. Such people can only address their own peer group with their mindset. The youth, on the other hand, watch these people with astonishment and repulsion. Religion is quite easy and plain. There is love, compassion, friendship, brotherhood, forgiveness, generosity, self-sacrifice, bravery. Life turns into a nightmare if one remains aloof to religion, to Islam, to fear of God, to love of God. They do not say a single word about God. Just say "God" for once. Would they cause you any pain? Just say "God" for once - nothing would happen. They do not say it and the result is an inconceivable distress, an inconceivable tension. There is zero love. Very rare, elect people, those who are specifically been inspired by God, those who are taken into a deep sleep approach the Mahdi (pbuh). Just like the People of the Cave. Such a person would not be able to go anywhere even if he wants to, because it is in his destiny. The will of a genuine student of the Mahdi would not be able to leave him. Surat Al-Kahf is a Surah that directly refers to the system of the Mahdi. It entirely explains the system of the Mahdi. But it does so with symbols, with a covert manner of telling. I mean it doesn't do so openly, with overt wording. Those rational ones, those with profundity, those who have the power of reflection will decipher the secrets in the Surat, those symbols by the leave of God, with the revelation of God.
