If one displays egocentricity, people become really vicious against him. That is why modesty is like an armor. Egocentricity on the other hand is a disease that increases aggression and attracts troubles.

Quote
God is the One Who knows everything and He is the One Who establishes the commands. And God is Wise, there is wisdom in everything He does. Someone might say, "Something went terribly wrong." But that is not true, everything happens for a reason. Your mind might not conceive it yet and you might learn the wisdom behind it, either in this world or in the Hereafter, but there is certainly wisdom behind everything that happens.

Why are stories in the Qur'an told? For everyone to take the moral of the story. They are not told simply as stories. They hold light to an event that will take place. In the stories of the Qur'an, the incidents that will take place in the future are told with symbols. For instance, Surah Yusuf is the explanation of the system of the Mahdi with symbols.

One should focus on Heaven and grasp it well. One should strengthen his faith. A Muslim should have that knowledge fully settled in his mind. It should not remain as blurred information. A Muslim should know everything told about Heaven in the Qur'an, he should know all of the verses.

Muslims always face beautiful things after their deaths. There would be no difficulties, no pain, no fear for them; they won't face such feelings in any stage. Everything goes smoothly for them. They will never face any kind of distress while their souls are taken, while they arise from death, while they enter Heaven.

The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) is the sultan of arts and aesthetics. He is the one who taught arts and aesthetics to the world. Christianity learned the arts from him. They have learned how palaces should be adorned, how the masjids should be adorned, how the buildings should be adorned, all from him. The palaces in Europe, the palaces of the Ottomans have all been built by emulating the palace of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh). The Prophet Solomon is the father of all palaces, he is the father of arts, aesthetics and beauty.

Science and modern physics should be encouraged immensely. Just like the Qur'an, science is something the verses of God manifest themselves intensely.

Quote
Science is a method that demonstrates the existence of God. Actually this is the main task of science. Science proves and explains the artistry of God. In the Qur'an Almighty God says that; "only those who are firmly rooted in knowledge, and the Muslims, have faith." Firmly rooted in knowledge are those who fear God.

One would come to faith if he simply thinks about the human brain. Simply by looking into the life of a spider, you would attain faith. Simply by looking into the life of a bee, you would attain faith. Simply thinking about these things would make one come to believe unconditionally.

Our Prophet (saas) is the last Messenger, the last prophet. Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will come back in the End Times, but he will not be bringing a new religion. He simply abides by Islam. I mean he comes as a member of this ummah.

Quote
Belief in angels, belief in destiny; these should be thought about one by one, pondered upon and settled in one's mind as perfect belief. I mean, a great majority of the public has such beliefs, but they remain as superficial information in their minds; however, settled knowledge could only be formed in devout Muslims. One needs to turn that into settled knowledge.

Quote
Almighty God emphasizes the importance of belief in the Hereafter and Heaven, and of preparing oneself for Heaven. A Muslim should concentrate on that topic and discipline himself in that respect. I mean it should not be blurred information but a clear knowledge. Life and Heaven should constantly be nested in one another.

Quote
If one thinks about Heaven superficially, his brain could only perceive it superficially and a superficial belief could be formed. But if one concentrates well and, comes to have faith nicely and asks for that information from God insistently, Heaven and the Hereafter will become clear in his mind.

Quote
People do not devote themselves completely to God; I can see that there is a great mass of people who would abandon religion once it conflicts with their interests. The Mahdi (pbuh), on the other hand, is a person who would always ask for the good pleasure of God even if it conflicts with all his interests. As it is understood from the hadiths, he would withdraw himself from all aspects of social life.

Once you get dragged into the swamp of traditionalism it is like a bottomless pit which contaminates you more and more. Radicalism is an affliction that increases incrementally. One says, "I am a radical." The other says, "I am even more radical." They wallow into the most inconceivable filth in competing one another .

Quote
Islam will appear in the face of this world as an utterly modern, joyous, healthy system, open to science and arts, open to beauty and aesthetics. It will appear like Heaven. Islam will not be an environment full of filth and darkness, causing people to suffer, hanging people, chopping people up, far removed from aesthetics; it will not be an environment in which filthy people are living. God would not harm Islam like that and will not let Muslims harm Islam like that.

The world would never accept an understanding of Islam that is incompatible with human nature. First and foremost, God would not accept it: Every time they attempt to bring about such a corrupt, rotten, filthy understanding of religion that reminds one of Hell, God would degrade them, humiliate them, drag them on the ground and ruin them; let me state this openly. They should forget about it.

There should be music, there should be paintings, there should be statues, there should be aesthetics; young girls should be able to wander around well-groomed, young men should be able to wander around handsome and glorious. Let everywhere be like an art gallery. Then the whole world would admire Muslims.

I keep saying this insistently; had they advocated the modern understanding of Islam in Egypt, the whole of Europe and the US would have supported them. There is no need to get into a direct conflict with their idols. If necessary, one might protect his faith appearing like he is siding with that idol. I mean if there is a danger, if the idol is about to crush him, if it is going to cost him his life, if it will prevent him from living by his religion, one might act as if he is siding with the idols. This is also defined in the Qur'an; one wouldn't be responsible from that.

They have changed Islam into a pagan, polytheistic system –may God forbid- and the way God uses to bring people into line, to correct their wrong ways is through disasters and scourges, through hunger, wars and terror; God creates a devastating terror for them to change their ways, so they back down from their ways. They, in return hold on more tightly to their idols imagining that their salvation is in those idols. The truth of the matter is that such an attitude is the exact reason why they are in this state.

Sound comes into existence from material inside the brain that doesn't exist. There is no sound outside. But out of material, sound comes into existence, light comes into existence; inside the brain, that doesn't exist. There is nothing to be called taste outside. Taste is formed inside the brain. But this is not the brain made up of flesh; it is the brain that is comprised of radiance. We are thinking and talking with the brain made up of radiance.

When one hears about those in need, the first thing that comes to his mind is being in need of food, in need of bread. One needs faith, one needs love of God. If you pray, God responds to your prayers. You need love, you need profundity, you need deep love for God.

How does one pray when he is harmed somehow? Perfectly. How is one's connection with God? Perfect. How is his respect? Perfect. The best form of resting is – of course we do not do this for God to let us rest, but for the good pleasure of God- is perfect connection with God. There is no rest other than that. A great many people rebel against God or expostulate on God. They expostulate, saying, "He doesn't help me, He has taken my son away from me, He has taken my car away from me, He has taken my possessions from me." Who is the One Who gives you your child? God is. Who is the One Who takes him away from you? God is. I mean the expostulation here is very irrational; it is an act far removed from sincerity. God doesn't like such conduct.

“Sincerity” is a Word closely connected with the Qur'an. We could not know what sincerity is if we do not know the Qur'an. The weakness of faith in people is something God dislikes. When that is the case, God takes away their riches in this world. He gives a general distress, an unrest and discomfort to the whole world. People fail to understand the reason behind that. Actually the reason for the troubles in the world is the dissemination of the weakness of faith in the world.

Almighty God always aims for sincere, exalted faith. When Almighty God sees sincere, lofty faith in the world, He increases the abundance on this world: When there is weakness in faith, God reduces that abundance on the world. People like wealth, power and ruler-ship. Beautiful women, beautiful cars, beautiful music, beautiful clothes all have a very powerful impact on people's lowerselves. Almighty God only looks if he is a Muslim or not. I mean there is no such thing as a semi-hypocrite or a semi-Muslim. God says "Everything you do would go to your idols.” For instance, he behaves 5% for God and 95% for his idols. Everything he does would then go his idols. Or on the contrary, he behaves 95% for God and 5% for idols; that would go completely to idols as well. God says, "You should do everything you do only for Me."

Those who are after their own pleasure want to be on both sides, they want to go be with Muslims and with the others as well. They want to have fun both here and there but when they face the slightest difficulty, when something conflicts with their interests, they flee instantly. Again when things seem to be at his sweet will, he sniffs and looks around. He approaches things if he sees no problem. He imagines that he can really attain some results from such a behavior. However if he acts this treacherously, knowingly and intentionally, his reward would be ever heavier. He won't be saved by that occasional coming and going.

One feels a little bit admiration for unbelief and that admiration ruins him, it burns him out. For instance, he emulates their style on the internet and that consumes him. Or he relishes their unlawful way of living and wants to slide towards it, even if just a tad.

When a characteristic of unbelief smears a Muslim's character, it makes him suffer a lot. When a little bit of unbelief smears one's character, sufferings and distress start. He feels suffocated and fidgety but doesn't know why. Actually, that distress stems from his sliding towards unbelief.

When you abide by the easy religion of God, when you abide by Islam that is natural, pure belief, the religion of Mohammed (saas), you go to Heaven. But in the religion you make difficult with superstitions, in the religion you rarified and made impossible to live by, you go to Hell. Both your world and your Hereafter will be Hell. God creates easiness for us and deems us successful in easiness. Those who look for difficulty are ruined; they are defeated, they are crushed. All those looking for traditionalist Islam, for orthodox Islam, are crushed. Who needs that; why would you change the immaculately radiant religion of God? Why do you raise difficulties while God has created religion of ease? How nice it is, live joyfully.
