Our Syrian guests are our brothers and sisters whom God has sent to us as a blessing.

Pride is a feeling that actually humiliates and degrades the proud. Humbleness and swallowing one’s pride and apologizing is truly noble.

Syrian refugees are entrusted to Turkey. They are like the Muslims who migrated from Mecca to Medina at the time of the Prophet (saas). According to the Qur’an, it is our religious duty to protect and take care of them.

We have defended Gallipoli together with our Syrian brothers at the Turkish War of Independence. Syrian people are very dear to us.

While asking for something good, it is not right to make comparisons. For instance, it’d be wrong to say, ‘Why help the elderly but not the young?’ It could be easily misunderstood.

Being religious means being the wisest, the most modern, the highest quality, the most honorable person. The prophets were all the most modern people of their times.

Arab, Turkmen or Kurd, it doesn't matter. Whoever comes from Syria as refugees, they are more than welcome. Turkey will lovingly host them all.

Our Syrian guests came here to escape death. We are happy to be able to help them.

Just like al-Ansar hosted muhajirs at the time of our Prophet (saas), we will host our brothers coming from Syria and other countries. This is a beautiful form of worship.

Believers should always be elegant and refined. Their sense of humor is also refined. But crude people find revolting things funny. A cultured person refrains from such coarse behavior. Believers are better than responding to vulgarity with a similar attitude. Believers should act with nobility and honor in every situation.

Sometimes people are influenced by the choices of the majority. Instead, everyone should act independently, and with common sense.

The claim that President Erdoğan is a 'dictator' is one of the unfairest things said about him. The effort he made for our beloved Syrian guests alone is proof of his good heart.

Most Turkish people are also descendants of past immigrants. It’s an honor that Syrians trusted our compassion and came here. We’d be proud to make our Syrian guests Turkish citizens.

Our Syrian guests are more than welcome here. They are the blessed muhajirun [emigrants], and they honor us by allowing us to be their ansar [helpers].

Our Syrian guests are innocent people that need our help. Statements that target them would be nothing but cruelty.

Turkish nation disavows all remarks that target our Syrian brothers, who came here trusting our compassion and help.

Gentility is important. An environment in which people act crudely or a shallow person would be very disturbing. Vulgar people are very disturbing. Gentle people satisfy one's soul. No harm would come from a gentle person. There is even a Turkish proverb to that effect. They say; "a gentle person does not go astray, just as honey does not stink." That is a very well- known proverb. But one can expect anything from a banal person, from a crude person. They suck up to others, they manipulate others for their own interests, they behave egotistically. But a gentle, noble person would never stoop to such behaviors.

Using foreign words, although one knows the Turkish equivalent of that word, is not something a decent, noble person would do. Only those with weak souls would be impressed by that language. Ignoble people imagine that they make a splash among those weak ones like them when they use foreign, flashy words. Actually using flashy, foreign words in a pretentious manner is not a splash or a success.

Responding banality with banality would not befit Muslims. A Muslim should be exalted and decent. They should communicate Islam with their nobility. They should attract attention with their patience, with their respectful, decent and virtuous manners.

There is an amazing, a wondrous nobility, a miraculous quality on Prophets. There is more or less vulgarity, ordinariness in ordinary people. They have a covet for worldly things, I mean even if it is scarce, they have such tendencies. But that is never the case in Prophets, they never have such lowly attitudes. That is how they are recognized as Prophets anyway,

Prophets do not engage in vulgar behavior. The Propher Jesus Messiah (pbuh) is humorist, joyful and compassionate and yet he is very noble. His behavior is always noble. The extraordinariness on him would be recognized.

A believer considers serving Islam as a blessing but hypocrites don’t want to serve Islam. They follow their own evil religious law. Living alone, being stingy and feckless, leading an aimless, vain life, any act of moral turpitude and lying are all acceptable in the evil religious understanding of hypocrites.

A believer could never understand the spirit of a hypocrite or an unbeliever. It is a way of life that believers do not know and would never understand.

A believer who lives according to the moral values of the Qur’an is responsible to protect others like his own children. This is the system of guardianship in Islam.

A believer who strictly adheres to the Qur’an would never be unhappy or withdrawn.
