When one reads the Qur'an, wisdom settles in him and he becomes completely reasonable and rational. The Qur'an is the book of reason. It is a light that causes wisdom to settle in the brain. Normally wisdom is not formed in one's brain, only intelligence. When the human brain comes into contact with the Qur'an, wisdom and reason settles in. Otherwise, wisdom cannot possibly be attained, only intelligence can.

Putting one's trust in God would take away the torment one does to himself. When he becomes patient, he would become friends with everyone around. When one is criticized by others, he becomes a rational, stable and loveable person.

I mean he becomes insane. That is what happened to Pharaoh, to Nimrod. They lost their sanity. When that is the case, satan settles in their body. They become unable to act rationally and in a balanced manner. They lose the ability to be reasonable.

Sometimes the acts of Muslim might look very much like the acts of a hypocrite but that doesn't make him a hypocrite, it only means that he caught a disease. When you save him from that disease, he would go on as a Muslim. But when you apply the same treatment to the hypocrite - there is a grave danger here - the hypocrite might appear as if he is saved as well, but he continues his ways underhandedly.

Hypocrites ask the Prophet to excuse them, saying, ´Our houses are exposed,´ when they were not exposed. What do they mean by saying that their houses are exposed? They mean to say, "I have a family at home, I need to take care of them, of their education. I need to bring food to my spouse at home, I need to take care of her. My store is exposed as well. My trade is mired down, I need to take care of that." Well my brother, alright, but they are killing, martyring Muslims all over. Is your store more important or their being martyred?

However, the world would become beautiful with self-sacrificing people. For instance, our Prophet (saas) was very altruistic and selfless. His companions were very altruistic and selfless. None of them were self-seeking. Societies with self-seeking people collapse.

Many people are after their own pleasure and their own joy and use Islam to that end. They keep busy with their trade, looking for ways to eat, drink and travel, to get married and get on with their lives. This is the mindset of a great portion of the Islamic world. That is why God ruins the Islamic world. God wants them to turn towards Him yet they do not. God says, "You are after the transient blessings of this world but the Hereafter is the abode that is auspicious and beautiful, if you only knew."
