The way to gridlock coups is modernism, high-quailty, arts and all kinds of freedom.

Secularism, democracy and freedom are the principles of Islam.

The existence of opposition parties and opposing media channels is very important. Everyone should be able to voice his or her thoughts freely.

All around the world women need to be free. Anyone who wants to wear revealing clothes must be able to wear them. Everyone needs to be free.

In the absence of variety in people, arts, music and aesthetics, the world will turn out to be like hell. Freedom of women is a fundamental asset.

Women need to be free as they like and they should live in safety.

All our people would support the efforts to broaden the freedoms defined in the constitution. What is important is to preserve our unitary structure.

Reasonable people are nice, no matter if they are from the right wing or left. It is important to have people who can communicate with one another, who can share their opinions.

A person who is under the influence of bigotry can’t enjoy freedom of thought; he remains under the effect of his milieu.

No one has the liberty to be a terrorist. No one has the liberty to oppress others. No one has the liberty to behave immorally. No one has the liberty to act vilely and treacherously. However, everyone should have the liberty to be pious and believe in whatever they want.

Turkey is a modern country, one in which people live freely as they like. We don’t accept any backwards steps regarding our modernity.

Some people remain under the influence of mass psychology. Many people are led by a single person’s opinion. Free opinion is rare and precious.

People often side with people they consider to be strong. This must not be the criterion to adopt an opinion.

High attendance in referendum and freedom of expression is important. It's risky to give the impression that people said 'yes' due to fear.

It is important to trust people's common sense. Our people are wise. They accept the right thing when they see not through fear.

It is not right to be fixated on an idea. If there is goodness in one thing, then it would be right to go towards it.

People should be free to express their ideas and beliefs as they like, so long as they do not advocate what is illegal or contain violence.

Every person has the right to live freely according to their belief. But bigotry does not know how to approach people with compassion.

There is freedom of faith in Turkey. The members of all religious sects are free to practice their faith as they see fit.

Freedom of faith; this is the greatest beauty the CHP can provide. They should be close to religious communities. They should show that they will present love to everyone.

Freedom of thought does not mean insulting everyone, upsetting everyone, hurting them and attempting to suffocate their joy and love. Love should be taken as basis. The concept of freedom of thought is sacred; that is okay, but love is even more sacred, kindness is even more sacred, respect is even more sacred.

Existence of cold, cruel, ruthless people lays the ground for coup plotters. A coup plotter would like to shed blood; this is great peril.

Ruthless, heartless people have existed throughout history. Multi-phased precautions should be taken against that.

I have said that all political parties should come together in a meeting and support one another since this was a move against Turkey. With the meeting the CHP and the AK Party held together today, this is exactly what they did; they joined hands in the face of attempts against Turkey.

What our government should do is to advocate modernity, quality and arts, and to emphasize the progressive, enlightened spirit very well. Otherwise this commotion will continue.
