It is a beauty for youngsters to be free in their beliefs. No one is obliged to accept any idea, let everyone be free.

The best thing to do is to voice ideas without giving rise to an environment of conflict.

The system of the Mahdi is not oppressive, I mean some people would be performing their prayers and some won't in the system of the Mahdi. Some would not be covering their heads, some will wear low neck clothes, some will wear hijab but everyone will be happy. Everyone will be free.

Targeting the happiness of people is the characteristic of the system of the Mahdi. The system of the Mahdi is not oppressive, it would interfere with anyone else's faith or opinion. Everyone will be free. A very devout center will present love to everyone.

If you exert pressure, people would feel abased. You would make people who normally would not consume alcohol start consuming alcohol, you would cause people who would normally perform their prayers, stand apart from prayers; things that would not normally happen would start to happen. I mean oppression would disrupt a person’s balance.

Freedom would bring about comfort and abundance. We should protect Jews, we should protect Christians and irreligious people as well. Let us create such a liberal, refreshing, beautiful environment. A very wealthy, sound understanding of religion would prevail in such an environment. Secularity is a system that exists in the essence of religion.

It is not possible to procure religiousness through governments; that can only be made possible with the system of the Mahdi. The system, the spirit that would come about in religiousness is love. I mean the system of the Mahdi brings about a lot of love, compassion, mercy, understanding, tolerance, sweetness, broadness of perspective, arts and science, it would bring about social justice; none of which can be attained through impositions. In the system of the Mahdi there is no place for impositions.

Man cannot withstand heavy pressure. Religion removes pressure and restrictions.

The concept of secularity exists in the complete sense in the Qur'an. Secularity as described in the Qur'an should be put into practice. Everyone should be utmost free in their beliefs. The essence is not to intervene in anyone's beliefs. One cannot interfere in the beliefs of an irreligious person, or a religious one, or a mason or a communist or anyone else for that matter. They all are first class citizens.

Freedom of speech is for expressing ideas, not for cursing.

No one accepts insults when they are aimed at their own persons. Yet they strive to present insults aimed at believers as normal.

Stating an opinion is one thing, slandering is another. There is law and there is a legal system. We will not let anyone slander and revile.

Yes to freedom of thought! No to insults and revilement! No Turkish court is sentencing anyone because of their ideas. The offence people are sentenced for, are slanders and insults.

One feels pity for the irreligious, so why are you attacking irreligious? You cannot pull an irreligious person towards your own religion by force. You have to give them freedom, you cannot interfere with their beliefs. You cannot drag them towards your own system, your own moral values. Unless they do harm to anyone, you cannot interfere with their values. You can only interfere with them if they do harm to you in person, to your environment or the society; in which case you would have a right to do so. But even then it would be within the framework of law and justice system.

There should not be any intervention on people's attire. Everyone is free to wear whatever they like, what others wear is of no one's concern. We should do something about the ignorance of people not about their clothing. I mean we should strive to put an end to ignorance.

Mahdi (pbuh) will suffer oppression and hardships. In the World of souls Allah asks him "Will you be able to endure these hardships?" And he says; "I will my Lord. With honor and pride."Mahdi is sent to this World 6000 years after the World of souls and fulfills the promise he made in the World of souls.

In our religion, here is no compulsion against Christianity and Judaism. They will be able to live by their religion everywhere.

The committee of the dajjal (antichrist) and the dajjal will attempt to exert pressure on Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and his students in order to prohibit their just and right activities, they will threaten them and attempt to cast them out according to their own twisted minds. Under such conditions the students of Hazrat Mahdi will continue their scientific struggle with love, compassion, reason, science and culture. That is the reason of the increase in their good deeds, their being the lions of the End Times, their being worshippers at night, their being appraised; that is the reason why they attain more good deeds than the Companions.

An oppressive, totalitarian, bigoted mindset would bring forth an insincere and backward society.

Votes collected through violence cannot be called votes. It is a shame. Just like extorting money is simply extortion, intimidating a person to extort his von, intimidating a person to have his vote would be extortion. Consequently that is not an ethically acceptable act.

A secular, democratic system will come into existence properly, insha’Allah. The time of oppression, the period of violence will come to an end. Insha’Allah.

Any country that fails to ensure the freedom of women would certainly be devastated. Let me say that much. There is a decision taken about this, this is the reward of it in the Sight of God and the reward of it in the world. Any system, any government, any state that is misogynistic, that suppresses and persecutes women is bound to collapse; they should know this much.

The peaceful demonstrators should ask for something reasonable, we can then be instrumental in implementing those insha’Allah.

Let us build a pool in Taksim as big as an artificial lake. Let us bring Italian artists and have very artful sculptures around that pool.

We do not watch incidents, we attend to matters meticulously.
