A Guantanamo guard became Muslim

An American guard at Guantanamo by the name of Terry Holdbrooks converted to Islam during a midnight ceremony at the camp also attended by Muslim detainees, and adopted the name of Mustafa Abdullah. Holdbrooks says: “I knew nothing about Islam before Guantanamo. But as I came to know Muslims I wanted to know as much as possible about it, and so began talking to them about politics, ethics, morals and their lives and cultural activities. I soon saw the truth and became a Muslim.”
