Having a glorious, scary army is the Sunnah of our Prophet (saas). For instance, he didn't let the soldiers cut their mustaches short; they even grew their nails. The Companions of our Prophet (saas) had such a ravenous and scary appearance. They had handlebar moustaches reaching till the ends of their ears. Those who looked at them were shivering with fear, they feared them greatly. It would be great if our soldiers had such a staggering appearance.
