For instance, one might say that he loves God but not perform prayers, saying, "I love God, God doesn't need my prayers." He might have a lot of money but not give alms, saying, "Those in need can find it elsewhere. I do love God and money makes me happy, it helps me be close to God." Or perhaps, one does not act bravely, saying, "I should not risk my life, I am living nicely here." But in fear of God one shows courage. Quote
